During my adventure into the wastes in search of the water chip, I noticed some rather
strange things about how I viewed this new world and how the world viewed me.
Here are some of them.
- I found that whenever I targeted any creature, human, rat or anything else, I
automatically knew it's entire anatomy! I didn't understand the significance of some these
parts on some creatures but they sure caused a lot of damage when I hit them there!!!
- I found that when I entered combat, everything I could shoot had a red Aura around it. I
never knew I was psychic!
- Also in combat, I learned very quickly that instead of guessing my chance to hit a
creature, I automatically knew it! A ghostly percentage would appear over whatever I
targeted.
- My companions in the Wastes were truly the most courageous people I have ever met! While
I would don power armor and a plasma rifle, my friends insisted on using those nifty
leather jackets and whatever they had when I met them. I truly missed them when a large
group of rats took them down. <sniff>
- I found a body in a large footprint that was squashed flat. How that delicate looking
Stealth Boy survived that crushing effect I'll never know.
- I'm thinking of becoming a Forensics specialist due to a unique skill I never knew I
had. During a trip to a place called the Glow, I found I had the ability to determine the
gender and previous occupation of indistinct piles of ash!

Very useful skill I must say.
- The Overseer used to make me spend long hours of studying the Vault archives in
preparation for my quest, but I found that in this brave new world you would get better at
a skill merely by reading the same book over and over again.
- I found that most of the guards were deaf. An example being a church in the Hub where by
merely closing the door, I could perforate all those inside while the guard standing just
across the street remained blissfully unaware.
- I found that many people raised 2 headed animals called Brahmin yet for what purpose I
could not deduce. There weren't any Brahmin burgers to be found anywhere in the wastes.
- Drugs of all kinds were readily available in many areas of the Wastes yet on no occasion
did I find the facility that produced these narcotics. It seems somewhere a hidden
pharmacy is in operation. Perhaps I will have my grandchildren track it down.
- The world now uses bottlecaps for currency, I found this strange because I frequently
found bottles of beer and Nuka Cola. I'm not sure I understand the marketing reasoning
that allows one to package a product with currency attached.
- And finally: How come in the eighty years since the war has been over, though they have
discovered how to make and use both plasma and laser weapons... the only form of
transportation to be found is on foot!?! They even had automobile wrecks for heaven's
sake. Would these folk have me believe that no auto mechanics survived the war?!?
Alas though, my journey has ended. I have recorded those thoughts that intrigued me for
all to bear witness to. My Vault has been saved and I've been evicted. I have hopes that
the radiation poisoning I obtained in some of my wanderings will not prevent me from
finding some nice young lady and settling down. I now head for the north of the great
California states to find a place to call home.

- They are still aliens, deathclaws, centaurs and floaters right? Why
doesn't anyone research or investigate them?
- I don't understand this thing, for example I click with my mouse on
that Hubologists Shuttle or my Highwayman or that ship PMV Valdez but
it says: You see nothing out of the ordinary. Like these are ordinary things
or something.
