In this pic the Prisoner we saw on the Fallout3 start screen and the BOS guard, that acts as a companion, giving cover, have already did some combat. This belongs to the tutorial, they are about to enter the town. Notice that the textures on the buildings are temp stuff, but it has shadows this time (static, not volumetric).
As they enter the town they find a building that gives them access to a Vault, this Vault

In this pic there are no shadows, you would spend some time doing tipical tutorial stuff. Notice how close it looks with the 2d versions of the Vaults, although it was still far from beeing finished.

Makes you want to play it, doesn`t it?

At least the guy in Power Armor looks bigger now Smile

The top picture looks much better than the vault picture. I could only imagine how nice it would have looked if they had finished... Sad

Jesus fucking christ. Is there no way we can get the engine and the work that's been done from interplay? Maybe leaked like with HL2....? wink wink... I mean this looks seriously good. Words can't describe the hate I'm feeling for interplay. These shots make me feel so sad. If there is no hope for this game, I'm not completely sure why Brios is posting this, it's not very nice to see what could have been when we should be trying to move on.

WOW. Just WOW. I never thought theyd be able to make a Fallout RPG 3D without having it look nothing like the original. They have proven me wrong and now we will never see it. I will never purchase a Interplay game again. I hope Fallout BOS2 is what puts them completely under when they realize the first one failed and they wasted money producing a 2nd one.

It looks like Fallout 1 and 2, but in 3d, that's the highest compliment I can give it. Hell even Exitium likes them. I hope that Puuk and the others will come to this thread so we can tell them how great they look.

What's interesting to me is the absence of numbers on the vault dwellers' backs. I thought that was an exception with VC, since they didn't consider themselves Vault 8 anymore or something.

I actualyl don't want anything more posted - that's a genuine request. The game is dead, I don't want to see any more shots like these. Seeing these also makes me think that, unfortunately, I don't see how a company like SilverStyle could ever do anything that comes close. FO3 needs to go to BIS guys, or its creators. I'm thinking of Queen's 'The Show Must Go On' this past week. Appropriate.

Looks like the transition to 3D was going fairly well. All I can see that is needed is a bit of variation in textures & it would look sweet. Damned shame. I'd like to offer my thanks to Briosafreak & sources for bringing us a taste of what isn't to be. It hurts but good work folks.

I suppose there was quite some work to go on the engine though, the screenshots looks nice, but not as nice as for example Silent Storm. Damn thing almost brings a tear to my eye though.
