|
|
A little bird told us Interplay's pitch to foreign investors for Fallout Online, intended to pry loose a total of $75 million, has been filed with SEC for public viewing. And it makes for a riveting read.THE FALLOUT BRAND IS ONE OF THE MOST RECOGNIZED GAMING BRAND BY CONSUMERS.
THERE ARE SEVERAL DEDICATED FAN SITES AROUND THE WORLD EVIDENCING A LOYAL FAN BASE ESTIMATED TO BE OVER 350,000 PEOPLE (www.nma-fallout.com, www.duckandcover.cx, fanmadefallout.com, www.teamx.ru, www.nwsgames.net, nukacola.com, www.nuclearcleansing.com).
DUE TO THE SUBJECT MATTER OF A POST NUCLEAR APOCALYPTIC WORLD RESULTING FROM THE COLD WAR (1945-1990), ALL CONSUMERS 20 AND OLDER WILL HAVE SOME TIES TO FALLOUT AND WILL BE INTRIGUED TO FIND OUT IN THIS VIRTUAL WORLD: "AND WHAT IF THE NUCLEAR WAR REALLY HAD HAPPENED?" Fallout isn't exactly about what would've happened had the Cold War between the USSR and US turned hot, Herve, you might want to read a little thing called the Fallout Bible. But thanks for the recognition, 350k people strong and we all really hate FOOL!The Fallout MMOG will be developed in the highly recognized Fallout post Nuclear Apocalyptic world giving consumers an ongoing virtual experience of today's life as if the cold war, which lasted for the best part of the second half of last century, had led to a nuclear disaster. Not even close to the Fallout storyline there, mack, the Great War of Fallout happened in 2077. Herve adds some spurious comments under investment attractions:o Interplay will effectively be the first MMOG pure play western public company
o Interplay's management was involved in the World of Warcraft project at Vivendi And here's the juicy bit, assumptions and predictions:- LAUNCH OF FALLOUT MMO Q3 2010
- REACH 1 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS DURING THE FIRST YEAR
- PROFITABLE YEAR 2
- REVENUE OF 160M$ PER YEAR AFTER FIRST
- NET INCOME OF OVER 50M$ PER YEAR STARTING YEAR 3 Well, notch up one more reason to hope total nuclear war happens within the next 3 years.

Why is it that so many people have problems with grammar structure when writing any manner of a business document?
I know I do, but this...

You've got to be as stupid as a Frenchman to try to name that "Fallout" (no offense, frog-eaters who actually aren't stupid enough to to tell 2007 from 2077) _________________

Well, this is one dumb-assed piece of text. Brushing aside the competition as if WoW is easily dealt with, pretending that being Western would actually get you any players... _________________ No Mutants Allowed, your Fallout resource - Fallout 3 modding

My suggestion is to ignore the whole thing…it’s not like anyone will be stupid enough to give that guy money... or would they |

| 350 000 x $20 = $7 Million. Nice starting cap for fallout 3, instead of +5 years of bitching about what was done or not done. |

If any investor actually clicked on Herve's link, here's the scoop:
1. Don't give that asshole any money, he'll steal it. If not steal it, than mismanage it.
2. We (the community) don't want the kind of game that Herve wants to make.
3. Fuck Herve.
4. No profit. _________________ Fiat iustitia ruat coelum, et pereat mundus.

No, these suckers
Seems they are still trying to develop the game, good for them. Herve never gave them the money though, as usual. |

Don't be so lazy Mr. D.
You could actually read, at least this thread, for the beginning.
This could reduce the headache, caused by reading your post.
But to enlighten you, Herve is teh Mastermind behind WoW,
but they never gave him any respect for this,
so, now he is on his global-revenge-tour. 8) _________________ Lester More, shot by a .44. No Les, No more. |

Fan Made Fallout is a fan-site? News to me.
Sorry, let me do that again in Herve speak.
IT IS NEWS TO HEAR THAT FAN MADE FALLOUT IS A DEDICATED FAN-SITE.
I have to say I do like the optimism though.
IT WILL MAKE $50 MILLION IN YEAR 3. HONEST. _________________ Until I hear "Isometric view", "SPECIAL system", "non-linearity", "turn-based combat" and "paths for diplomat, thief and combat characters" then I'm dubious about Fallout 3 by Bethesda.
In your opinion, what are the key ingredients that every RPG should have?

I was reading through this thread and felt sick and almost threw up.
If we save our money we can finaly buy a sniper rifle and solve this whole "Herve problem" once and for all.
Or we beat him up. _________________
