| As far as Mario Bro. I'm sorry to say this I know this is like speaking the words of Satan in the gaming community; but I was never really into Mario Bros. |
Get behind me, Satan!!!!!!
--- In all seriousness, what are some franchises that have made drastic changes and been successful? He's already mentioned Mario, which I completely agree with as being a great series even though it's changed much ( I especially enjoyed Super Mario RPG and Paper mario ) |
Well, you did not mention the second part. I was more into Commander Keen. Tell me you have heard of it??!!!? _________________ Your a fallout junkie if...

yeah, you can download it on abandonia.com if you don't have it any longer _________________ The law, for all its failings, has a noble goal - to make the little bit of life that people can actually control more just. [Disclaimer]I'm truly sorry for my awful English, as you (I hope you are) understand it's not my native language. [/Disclaimer]
Damn it!
You can call me a paranoid close-minded old-stile Fallout fan boy. But I have notorious feeling that some (or all) pro-Bethesda guys here is really a bunch of Beth employees. And i do not mean programmers or designers, more likely PR group (or just some freelancers). And IF I'm right than it's really good manipulating work. Somewhere to push, somewhere too fall back. But in the end we can see OFF TOPIC posts. I don't know what is English equivalent for the Russian word "perekluchenie"That's mean that they pull the strings to distract your readers from understanding your point of view. Making it "close-minded" (Damn! It must be trademarked already!) and whatsoever.
So ...enough with paranoid part. (I can develop it if someone want it) Let me write about some VERY important part of The Great Game From The Past. Freedom. And this is not freedom of moral chose I'm talking about, it's about a freedom of journey around\through\zig-zag the world. After reading some interview with F3 devs i come to understanding that there will be no THAT freedom that we have in original series. (All this similar to BG I/II -NWN2 "evolution" there is no freedom at all now) I have a awful filling that will be "one way" FPS with RPG elements in NOT-So-Authentic-World . Something like that:
You walking out from vault going to Megatonna City and make "very difficult" moral choice blowup or not blowup THE Bomb (I hope there is only one bomb in the game ) Than you find some new equipment and go to another little city doing smth. like "the BOMB Problem" And so on so on. I'm even not sure that we will have a world map in so-called F3.(Or more likely we will have world map in game, but it will be useless element for "close-minded fan bots")... whooh I'm tired to type this. And it's about 5 a.m. (or it's P.M.? Well, i mean deep night) on clock. So i'm gone go sleep. Think about my paranoia may be It is not, |

Reinvention nonsense.
Seriously Call of Cambat 3- the Russian Front, was the best of the bunch. Battle of the Bulge was weak in comparison. |
