According to a source of ours all the employees was contacted by the IT director at IPLY today and asked to pick up their personal effects.

The Property management company is shutting the doors effective 5pm for lack of payment..

So Basicly IPLY doesn't have a home now or is shutting down for good!?

Update: We've got more on this whole tale, it seems that Human Resources told the employees to file for unemployment, Herve and Eric are no where to be found.....

All employees are in the progress of gathering their belongings, since the offices are being closed at 5pm. They were also told that they would be advised in the "future" what was being done......

They can stay at my place if they wish.

I'll be sure to put "something extra" in Herve's morning coffee. Twisted Evil

Someone please remind me, what's going to happen to the Fallout license if IPLY goes completely, utterly, out of business?

Going to Titus? Pulled into the grave with IPLY?

While the employees appreciate the offer of a "home".....

You would have to stand in a very long line as far as putting something in Herve's coffee.

I guarantee you, If he is on the premises today at all, he probably will flee in terror of being ripped a new one, among other things....
He better hope that the employees don't become vigilantes

Thanks for the generous though.... Lets hope everyone grabs as much as they can before they leave.....

good luck and best wishes to everyone who got fucked over by IPLY... this little saga was more rediculous than the halflife2 crap (which wasnt as bad because noone lost their jobs).

man, im so glad they were thinking of their employee's, and customers (fans, whatever)...

well on the bright side, we can now all continue to sit on the side lines and see where the fallout liscence may land... if it does at all.

Just heard from the employees

HR has advised them to file unemployment.... Herve and Eric are no where to be found.

As of this time the future is unclear... They reported in, are in the process of taking personal effects were told that at 5pm they would be shuttered. And that they would be advised in the "future" what was being done

NO CHECKS! NO HERVE! NO HOME!

Not a problem, I feel for those guys. They got a pretty raw deal, regardless of their motivations for sticking with it, the lack of (mis)guidance from IP was phenomenal.

Zero Tolerance

Ann Ominous:

A generous offer of life enhancing "corrective" surgery.

He must be in danger of chocking on his own sh't to require "dual exhausts".

Veiled antidote:

25 five years ago, the men from Colorado, and I , popped the employers' bond. It cost one third for the lawyer, and it was the best form of closure for us. The construction trades tend to be a transient opportunity. Hang on as long as the hours pay the base expenses, then cut your loses and move on.

Being "labor" and having expedious council, we went to the head of the line. That was Washington State before the onset of the "Conservative Revolution", could meet honest to God 'Wobblies' who would register you to vote in a heart beat, down at the commercial docks. Labor was paid first, before all the suppliers. Have no idea if such a situation still exists, Ca. being another state and this another time.

In these modern times, if California has similar worker protection laws,
I suggest a group action to claim recourse from any similar liability coverage that Interplay might have had to post to be an employer in that state.

Wonder if with lawyers, ""the first time free""?

We bought our legal rep' a coffee ....

I don't, really. I never like it when investors whine about wrong investements. You should know what you're getting in when you enter the stock market, and as long as you're not forced into anything, you're fully responsible for your own actions. This is not like having a job in a failing company, because you enter a job with the hope/thought of a steady, long-lasting position, while you enter the stock market knowing full well that there is no safety or steadiness on there.

...

Well ok it's still kinda fucked.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think choosing to invest in IP over the past 4 years was not the wisest choice to make. You've definitely got to know when drop and run.

That's why it's called "playing" the market.

I've been fortunate, I've been able to make some good plays (buying at 10, riding to 60, selling at 56), buying at 14, riding to 72, selling at 65)

But you do have to research it, and keep an eye on things, and when a sector turns bad, GET THE HELL OUT!
