Neat indie post-apoc RPG After Reset announced

A new interesting post-apocalyptic indie project has been brought to our attention, After Reset, which apparently aims to offer a single-player and multiplayer isometric post-apocalyptic sci-fi experience highly reminiscent of Fallout and even S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

    A quick overview:
Planet Earth. 132 years after the "Reset," the thermonuclear apocalypse which ended human civilization. Around one third of the globe is covered by "Yellow Zones," where the ruins of cities are covered with radioactive dust. In these areas, Anarchist "Survivor" groups have taken control, and uncontaminated food and drinking water are valued at parity with human life. Another third of the Earth is in the agony of the "Red Zones," the epicenters of the deadly anomalies which arose as a result of a nuclear chain reaction in the atmosphere, and the morphing of the planet. The majority of terrestrial organisms are not capable of surviving in the "Red Zones," which makes it a perfect home for mutants and "guests" from deep space. The planet is unrecognizable and empty…
    And some concept art:

Great concept art and everything -- but I'm not sure I get it. Is this game funded, or are people in their basement making this?

Looks like an overzealous "developer" wanting to get his concept out there. If you look at the contacts page, you'll notice there's nobody under 3D Artists and Programmers - meaning that concept art is probably about as far as they've got in terms of development. That makes the pre-order button (even though it doesn't work) look completely ridiculous.

That's a shame. Seems like nma posts a lot of things like this. Which, while I'm the target market, would like rather not get my hopes up for nothing.

Don't know why they don't start a kickstarter if they have anything at all to go on.

Agreed. I want to see a team together before I start caring. Concept art is cool though.

The guy knows 3d modelling and programming to some extent and by the looks of it he should be able to produce a working proof of concept on his own. However it seems he is aiming at providing his old projects as a "guarantee" (that it can be done) in a potential future Kickstarter. I'd personally rather see something POC-ich of the current project before kickstarting anything.

There are screens of my ex-fan project: Fallout D20.

All that I did alone at my free-time (with a little help of freelancers I hired by my own money). Game Mechanic: DnD20. Game Engine: Electron Engine. I wanted to make a dedicated server in Van Buren world (original Fallout 3). The list of done was large (story, locations, 3d animation and modeling, mapping etc.) some of them you can see on the screens below.

I saw this, however, if you look closely at the first in-game shot: http://www.afterreset.com/ARMEDIA/Fa...0/screen01.jpg you'll notice half the models in there are ripped right from Fallout 3. Also of note: the armors in the other shots are simply reskins - his game is just a modded Neverwinter Nights 2.

Then it does indeed sound premature to do a Kickstarter.
