Exiting your house, you must A L W A Y S shut off E V E R Y electrical device under tension such as: FLAT-IRONS FRIDGES HEATERS RADIOS ELECTRICAL STOVES ETC (this is actually pretty funny, in the early 50's these items were a luxury; many families didn't afford them, let alone everything at once.)
