This is a very old post but I was literally awestruck by the stupidity in this comment. You know literally nothing about history if you think this is even faintly a zinger, and especially if you think the Roman empire fell in some great cataclysm.

And yet characters like Victor are still seen as people by most. You have outliers like Trudy whom still regards Victor as a weird, shifty thing, but everyone else seems to like him. The lines for personhood aren't so definite in Fallout.

I think FO76 is basically shit, but I don't think it's complete shit because the lesser developers and artists on the team clearly tried to make some new designs. Stuff like the sloths, ticks, cryptids, new floaters, and scorchbeasts are all... kinda interesting? Not tremendously interesting...

I think if you love it on its own, as its own game, for what it presents then yes, you can call yourself a Fallout fan. I don't think it actually presents anything new or interesting as a game but I can see some people liking it on that merit. If you think it's the best (or even a good game)...

I think that Fallout would work well as a series of vignettes alá Heavy Metal. Pepe Moreno's Bunker 6A From Heavy Metal always reminded me a lot of Fallout.

Even historically during eras when public hangings and even gibbetting were a thing, grave robbing (oft termed resurrectionism) was seen as an unspeakable, ghastly thing -- especially when it served the dissection trade. People do not like the dead to be fucked about with, literally or figuratively.

I really wish that ghouls looked more like Set in subsequent instalments. Not only does he look truly mangled and horrific, he also looks fucking cool. I like that he's truly skeletal -- you can see his fucking shoulder bones -- and it looks like the bolted-on combat gear isn't just for looks...
