I live in semi-rural Australia (2574, for the locals). At my best ever internet connection speed (around 600Kb/s and the miracle of it staying there for the entire duration) it would take me 9 hours to download this 19 odd gigabytes. In the real world; probably 24 hours. This is the reason...
I first heard about this show through the news page here at NMA. Five minutes into watching the first episode I realized it had been given the 'Lost' treatment (same as 'Heroes'), a concept which, presumably, evolved from the '24' series.
That is, every last minute detail is endlessly...
This sort of IR 'reform' was introduced to New Zealand 10-15 years ago (I'm a Kiwi living here in AU). All it has achieved is to lower the wages and conditions of the workers.
I'm not certain it spells the deathknell for unions in this country - that happened quite some time ago, their own...
The game can fail to run in the first place if you have an ATI card. There's a work around which involves unpacking a game file. It's all quite simple and is explained in depth here...

I've only played the tutorial so far and so haven't...
Both BenQ and LG make monitors this big but has one might expect, they ain't cheap.
Personally, I see the only benefit of these screens is that they take up less space on the desk. The image they produce isn't as sharp, clear or precise (colour wise) as a CRT and the cost is obsence by...
I was faintly relieved to see FT2 cancelled... it could have never lived up to original and would have tainted its (FT) memory.
Anyway, favourite game...
C64 - Rolling Thunder, Space Rouge
Amiga - Hunter, StarFlight 1&2, MegaTraveller 1&2, Civ
It usually depends where you go as to how abandonware is defined. At a site I frequent we have a general definition thus:
1. The game isn't supported by the publisher.
2. The game isn't still for sale.
3. The publisher isn't a member of the ESA.
Although abandonware is still technically...
Indeed... I should have been a little clearer... your guide, Per, once in Word and then converted to PDF came to 230 odd pages... a bit beyond my little Canon bubblejet but not for the 3000 page per minute (or something like that ;)) laser printer the missus has access to.
I agree. There is...
I recently managed to get myself a copy of this game and have been playing it for a few weeks. It's clear the influence FO has had but this game isn't FO.
As others have noted, the game isn't without it's flaws but there's rarely a game which doesn't have one or two niggles. The major...
Using an Amiga emulator I still play:
Starflight 1/2
Chase HQ
MegaTraveller 2
Supremacy
On the PC:
Pretty much any Microprose game... now there was a great games company.
Transport Tycoon
Sim City 3000
Privateer and Rightous Fire
Civilization 1/2
Master of Orion 1/2
Doom 1/2...
Thanks for that Jabbapop. I can keep an eye for it now I know what it's called.
I'm a bit vauge on that mission Lord 342... was that the one where you fight the last mechs in the crater, a few lava pools around?
Cheers,
Eric
Yeah... the armour is usually thinner on the back.
You mentioned in an eariler post something about an expansion for MW3? Do you remember the name of it? I seem to recall a 'mech pak' being available but was there any others?
I know MW4 had a couple. (Black Knight and Mercenaries)...
