Thanks, got it working now. A simple reboot into Safe Mode allowed it to go through, probably never know what caused the problem but isn't that always the way!

Lo all, Basically as topic title, I can click on 'install Fallout Tactics' in the autorun menu or open the CD contents and click on setup.exe there but the result is always the same - there's a brief hourglass symbol of activity then nothing ( no black screen, no lockup, it's just as though...
