After playing F3 for a while and getting really bored of all its gimmicks (it´s the cool stuff stupid) and slightly retarded main quest, I find myself desperately wanting something more Fallouty. I´ve been following the F3C-mod with great interest, and also look forward to the future release...

Not necessarily dishonest, more like biased. I just read a piece somewhere about how game-companies pressure, snare and coerce journalists not to write anything negative about previews. This was also briefly touched upon in the recent F3 hands-on preview from Shacknews.

Someone should find out if all these previews are played with the über-character from the presentations, and whether this will have any effect on VATS.

But keep in mind that games nowadays is a big financial undertaking, which in effect critical thinking and slanderous reviews could seriously jeopardize. duh. Try to say that to a movie-critic. The C+VG industry is such an infant.

Actually, ID´s Tech 5 engine will most likely be available as open source by 2013. I can wait.

Just caught this bit on WP: That´s awesome. Also from the looks of the E3 trailer for Rage this engine is the shit for PA-grit. A true Fallout successor (as in epic fan-production) might just yet be possible.
