How can i open the door in the random encounter Uprising? Ive killed the guards, but nothing happens. Tried to pick the lock with an electrolocpic with a lockpick of 150%, but : That does nothing

Ive got the newest version of the game /1.27/ My problem is, that is the sound card is installed, the game wont start, i only get a black screen "working cursor", yet the hdd isnt read. If i diseable the sound card, thge game runs just like a baby. Sys: WinXp professioinal, 256mb ram, athlon...
