I agree. Use the Gauss rifle you can get from the ship to pop him in the eyes, then try to cripple him and stay OUT of range! Horrigan's a hoss to be sure, but it's just his HP that's the bugger! He runs out of ammo and can't reach you with his 'big boss knife'? You're good. >D! Gauss...
