thanks for the help. I don't know what happened but after I moved the file out of the save folder and didn't see him back in the town I put the file back and reloaded my game. For some reason he went back to normal. I didn't need to recruit him again but everything seems fine now.

Sulik seemed to have his rubber boots melt half way through the toxic caves and must have died, but he doesn't really seem dead. He still shows up where ever i go (just at the entrance) and stands there with the only thing i can do is click on him to view his inventory. unfortunately i have...
