You would hope so, but look at IGN :)
Game Journo's are critics when writing reviews. In almost all mediums where there are content makers, and people who critique said content, there is always sometimes some pushback if a review is unfair.
I think the biggest problem today with Game...
While I didn't like the RPS review of NV, I do like the site, and in general they are a site that gives an honest assessment of PC games.
However, I do think that it was fair to call out Obsidian a bit for NV. It seems every obsidian game is the same situation. Buggy as hell from the start...
I had that, i verified via steam and it went away. Played about an hour then a coyote blasted off like on a rocket. He was a good 300 feet up. Then the game crashed and gave me a blue screen and auto reboot:) I just wish I had a video of the space doggie.
I want to like this game, but dammit...
Same, I would like to see a thriving NCR, dont know how much I Like the idea of a NCR and BOS war over what seems kind of petty. I think VB would have been a great game, but I would have really hated the NCR and BOS war.
I do agree. Weapon repair in every game it has ever been in is more of an annoyance than anything. It is no different in FO3.
However I would like to see a more robust item creation/upgrade system put in place. No more items like the Rock-it launcher, or the lawnmower blade gas powered sword...
lol, yeah your right. I was thinking of fallout being 80 years after for some reason and confused the two :). Thats what lack of sleep will do for you.
But still i say a few decades after fallout 2 So we could have a possible fully formed NCR.
Well setting it around the same time as fallout 3 would not be that bad, but I would expect it to be more realistic. That after 200 years society would not be at least partially reestablished is really stretching belief. Look at the word between the years of 1800 and 2000. And they are not...
And that is the problem. You have no idea about the games you comment on. Your exposure to the community was a guy sending you hate e-mail. Yet you feel able to comment on a game series and community you know nothing about. You are epitome of the modern game journalist. And you are why we Gamers...
I think he is just in general a huge douche. So he is probably not really mocking the old games, that is just his douchey personality shining through.
Every interview and comment I have ever seen from Todd Howard has had a pickish moment in it, going all the way back to Morrowind.
So how much do you get paid for your forum trolling? I, for one, am getting pretty sick of your attitude. And it's not that you disagree, it is that you take disagreements to an unreasonable level. And you have no ability to see the other side of the coin at all.
It is pretty clear what the...
Tom Chick has a negative opinion of fallout fans because of that goofy ass article of his a month or so ago he got called out on, on that sci-fi channel games blog.
It was the most commented on article his site ever had I think:)
But this is just stupid. I have to wonder now is Tom Chick...
Well to be fair, the same could have been said for Fallout 1 and 2, it had been 80 and 160 years after the war there and there was still stuff laying around.
If you take a look, he is fighting his way into a raider outpost (explains all the shelves and things) The computer is behind 2 large...
I don't like it because they just made it up. They could have used one of the vaults already named, and it would have made the tie to the old games that much stronger.
Has there ever been a game, in the same series not classified as a spin off, changed as much as Fallout 3 will be from its predecessors?
Unless you count X-com, and those commander and conquer FPS games I would have to say no. And both of those were pretty clearly called spin offs.
It is...
I was doing my daily pass of all the gaming blogs and came upon this:
http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/30/wwi08-lore-and-art-in-diablo-3/
Since when has Leonard Boyarsky worked for blizzard? And world Designer for Diablo 3? That's great! That news just made that game even better in my eyes...
