I browsed the kickstarter page and the game website but couldn't find anything about the developers of this project.
The logo of their studio is obviously crying out Black Isle, but is anyone on that team ever worked on games of that era? Or any RPG at all?
Could you please explain how you managed to run Fallout using Qemu?
I can get windows to boot, but I dont understand how to access the sd-card from there. My only option was to edit the image file by inserting the game inside, but windows didn't boot after that.
Would love some help.
There's a video interview with project director J.E. Sawyer on New Vegas. They cover their Fallout roots, karma and reputation, including the difference between pissing off minor (Goodsprings) or major (NCR) factions, weapon mods and companions.<blockquote>GB: You guys at Obsidian have this...
But this project will use terminologies and ideas (not actual assets) based on the ones appearing on Bethesda's IP, strictly for a non-profitable total conversion mod.
Wouldn't this make the project be considered strictly as a mod rather than a game and will allow the makers sidestep the landmine?
Re: Fallout Rebirth Mod for Crysis announced
This actually made me laugh.
I can totally understand the scepticism that people might develop towards this project. This is super ambitious and these guys are going to need to bust their asses off to keep this rolling in an acceptable pace and...
I can kind of let the lack of shadows outdoors slide considering the thick foggy atmosphere covering the sun that should create more ambient lighting rather then direct sunlight that creates defined shadows. But then again, the lack of shadows indoors is still inexcusable...
Still, my point was that if they gonna give you 95% chance to hit the zapper, you should get 95% chance for everything else.
Nevermind though, not that big of a deal.
Actually I watched it again and it's seems like 95% for the zapper, 79% for the antenna and 95% for the the whole body. Which is still weird because if you have a 95% chance for hitting that tiny zapper, you should also have 95% for hitting the antennas.
Sceenshot...
Weird thing that I noticed, it seems that when he was VATSing the eye-bot he got a 95% chance for hitting the super tiny zapper, but like 70 something percent for hitting the main body... I may be misreading the VATS interface though
Oh. So it has been officially announced by beth at E3 that October 7th is the date? So it does strengthen the rumor. A delay for the Australian release kinda seems logical since it's the edited version and all...
Microsoft's "Games for Windows" site lists Fallout 3 to be released on October 7th: http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/Games/Pages/featGames.aspx
While this still doesn't confirm anything, it kinda strengthens the rumor.
Who's to say that they're going to get lynched? As it stands, it seems that the vast majority of reviewers are going to shower it with praises and the swarms of console-loving-bethesda-worshiping fanboys/girls are going to buy it and probably enjoy it.
You need to keep in mind that Bethesda...
