I caught the trailer elsewhere and it temporarily held my cynicism at tentative bay. So I came here to pile a bit back on. 5 pages later and my plan was a success. Just a bit of cynicism, though. I want to believe, but there's no point in me putting myself in a position where I end up bitterly...

I think the best comment I saw on social media when they released the initial John Denver teaser for 76 was "This'd better not be a Rust clone or I'm gonna beat Todd Howard to death with a sack of bottlecaps while singing 'Big Iron'." So far, that's been the only attractive prospect about it.

The WilllFromAfar voice mod. Combine with low intelligence runthrough and the plot suddenly makes sense. It fits with the terrible writing so well.

Playing through NV for the zillionth time and even now I'm finding little pieces of plot I'd previously missed. As for Boone, he had me the moment I removed his beret and he calmly, but bemusedly said "I'd really like my beret back, please." Just one of those nice little touches you don't get...
