    The First HoI3 AAR

I've been wanting to play these games for a while. Is HoI3 a good game to start with? The apocalypse expansion thing for the second game seems awesome enough. I like nukes.

    Printer won't print

I'm trying to setup an old printer, a Hewlett Packard Laserjet 1010, on my Windows 7 64 bit computer. Problem is, there are no Windows 7 drivers. HP's site, despite being the most unfriendly and weird site on the Internet, was lacking in Win 7 drivers for my particular printer, but there was a...

Moments in gaming that made you laugh

Hahahahaha! That tank story made me laugh. It was mostly about how you presented it.

When you call someone a Neanderthal...

Don't confuse nomadism with agriculture/animal husbandry. I was referring to the switch to sedentarism of early civilizations, not medieval empires. Especially not medieval empires that ,partially through trading, had access to advanced military technology and immunity to diseases.

Can someone explain this expired ID thing?

ID cards expire over here. Mine's due like, yesterday. I should really get a driver's license.

Can someone explain this expired ID thing?

Is this really a problem? Can't you just renew your permit? As Cpt. Frankie said, it's probably just a formality, because people tend to change over the 5-10 years between the ID's creation and the expiration date.

Plato's allegory of the cave realised in horrible fashion.

Did I mention democracy? No. So if that's what you think I meant, you're all fucking idiots. No, I just want to curb stomp the fat little dwarf.

Plato's allegory of the cave realised in horrible fashion.

Hope he reads this: Hey Kim Jong we're soon going to invade your little shit country, and when we do, there will be no mercy for you and your allies. You will all be gutted savagely by pigs, perhaps even fed alive to your political prisoners.

When you call someone a Neanderthal...

By the time where you have pottery and especially potter's wheels, you've developed agriculture, husbandry and advanced sedentary societies. You would easily eradicate any and all other groups living like nomads with weapons technology and disease. Haven't you played civilization? It's not...

Movie: Our Home - The Astral City

I would be quite content spending an eternity playing video games.

Movie: Our Home - The Astral City

Cool. But I can't help but think it sounds odd in Portuguese, sorry.

    Internet Explorer losing browser share

Memory usage isn't really an issue to me, as I have a good PC. But I don't like unnecessary fluff, and I remember Firefox having lots of it. Anyone think about the bug I mentioned and what it could be?

    Internet Explorer losing browser share

I have a bug with Chrome in windows 7, where the taskbar disappears if I have a browser window maximized. I have to press the Windows key if I want the taskbar back. Quite annoying. I could uncheck "auto-hide the taskbar", but I like the extra space on my screen. It's almost enough to make me...

    Deepwater Horizon/BP Oil Spill

This reminds me of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska back in '89. Seems to be the same kind of blame game, from reading the first post. And, as Murdoch mentioned, I think the affected locals will definitely come out of this as the biggest losers.
