Thanks for the positive feedback - I appreciate it. I think I mentioned earlier it was all a huge learning process. If/When we return to the universe, I think I'll stick what I do best: character drama. Less fight scenes and more dramatic interaction (which for me, isn't so much dialogue, but...
Yeah, it was a tricky costume but Johnny was able to make it work. In regards to the pace, we didn't want it to drag on too much. I see a lot of Fan stuff that just keeps going and going - with this I wanted to move quickly and dynamically from scene to scene.
Thanks for watching, everyone. Not that I'd say I agree with some of the feedback - I do appreciate the blunt analysis. Plus at 20+ minutes I appreciate you guys taking the time to watch it.
Oh, cool - fair enough. My intention for that particular scene was to add a sense of foreboding doom to the whole scene. But, if that didn't work for you - that's cool. I wanted the music to play a big part, and carry the audience a little. It's pretty subjective.
Hey, fair enough. Thanks for the taking the time to watch. I might not agree with what you've said - but the feedback matters. Keep in mind you've not taken into the account the kind of logistics this kind of film takes. Also, when you discuss rhythm - do you mean pace?
Thanks very much. I learned a lot whilst making it. Despite that, the response have been pretty amazing. Hoping to be given better assets and resources in the future (time and money!).
Thanks for the upfront feedback, guys. I'm totally aware it won't work for everyone. I could tell you every fault I have with the film over, but in the end of the day - I love it and I'm so proud of it. There are a hundred things I would do over, but in the end it is what it is. I wanted to...
Thanks very much for all your support, guys. I feel pretty relieved that we've accomplished what we have. Now, the hard work begins.
We've posted our first images of Lanius' armour (as well as other stuff) on our Facebook page. Also, feel free if you have any other questions.
Again, thanks...
Hey Guys - thanks for the kind words! We're pretty happy we made out initial budget. But if you were able to further spread the word, that would be really appreciated.
In regards to 5K files - we are shooting on the RED Epic X camera (used to shoot Prometheus, The Hobbit plus others). We...
Hey Guys,
We moved our Top Tier Perk over the weekend (A Huge Prop worth $1000!). We're sitting at the $3500 mark at the moment, but we have plenty of Perks left.
If you had any further questions about the film or what we are offering, please feel free.
We contacted Beth's legal department really early with all the details of what we were expecting to do with out project. That, and we've used the same project structure as NukaBreak. As in, the project is not for profit and has a single broadcast via Youtube with no monetization of that...
Hey Guys, I'll just paste what I put in the prior Film Announcement Thread:
Hey Guys,
Well, our crowd funding campaign has begun and we really need your support. I know as hardcore Fallout Fans you've been through a lot, but we need your help with this.
Even if you can't pledge, just...
Hey Guys,
Well, our crowd funding campaign has begun and we really need your support. I know as hardcore Fallout Fans you've been through a lot, but we need your help with this.
Even if you can't pledge, just getting the word out would be fantastic. We've got some really talented people...
Wethegamerz offers an interview with Fallout Lanius director Wade K Savage.<blockquote>What inspired you to create a short film about Lanius?
I’ve been a Fallout fan since the first two games, of which I’ve played over and over. I enjoyed Fallout 3, but Fallout: New Vegas was something...
Check out some of Zack Finfrock's tweets (https://twitter.com/#!/ZackFinfrock). He does chat about the Fallout 3 styled parody elements of 'Nuka Break'. He even links to Tim Cain regarding it. I think humour plays a role in the Fallout Universe.
However, regarding the New Vegas setting, it's...
