    Possible glitch?

Hi, all and mighty Fallout gurus, please shed some light on an odd situation for me. My husband and I are playing through Tactics for the first time. We are playing through Steam on a Windows 10 machine with all available patches installed; the game is vanilla. We are in Jeff City. One of...

    Fallout: The Frontier.

My husband showed me a trailer for this over a year ago...the mod's official Website says it's 80% done. I can't imagine how much work has gone into this, it looks SO epic! Driving vehicles in the Fallout universe hasn't happened since the Highwayman in FO2...I miss having the trunk space, haha.

    Blackest Friday

Caveat Emptor--- I heard a rumor that certain manufacturers are in cahoots with certain retailers, making limited runs of electronics specifically for Black Friday sales. These electronics, being ridiculously cheap, are cheaply made and don't always carry the same warranty as the "real deal"...

    What's your poison?

Oh...I greeted you on behalf of my entire country, didn't I? How lovely to have two distinct senses of the word "from!" Aus Amerika and von mir. :)

What kind of job(s) did you work in high school?

My first on-the-books official job I got just as soon as I turned 16. I worked in a 1-hour photo lab inside a drug store. I blew my first paycheck on a small battery-operated guitar amplifier. I think minimum wage then was like $5.15/hour. As a junior, I worked at a bagel/sandwich/coffee...

Well established characters ruined by new material

Poirot was always this sort of impish entity, using his powers of observation and deductive reasoning to not only solve murders, but pull the occasional prank and crack jokes. He's one of those magical men that, although portly, can be absolutely elfin. Branaugh is a VERY. SERIOUS. ACTOR. and...

    What's your poison?

Grüße von Amerika! (My German is so rusty). I have never tried German cigarettes, but those sound like a good, strong flavor. Here, Lucky Strikes have a similar reputation. I bought a pack once and it lasted me over a week. One and done!

    What's your poison?

Funny, I seem to collect poisons. Some pedestrian stuff like mercury and potassium cyanide, also a few things that'd make the neighborhood a Superfund site if the vials ever broke and someone found out. Really, I drink copious amounts of the kind of coffee that'll put hair on your chest and...

Why can't I be a ghoul or a super mutant in Fallout?

Yes. This. In FO3, you can choose the race of ghoul, and it changes nothing but your face in the builder. Ghouls still call you "smoothskin." Super Mutants still try to kill you (wait, didn't they used to want to dip you?). You're still forced to complete Project Purity--either take the...

    Congrations NMA, you won.

Yes, this. Forever and always, "follow the money." I know it's not cool to like FO3 and all, but this is why there isn't and will never be (to my knowledge) a patch to make FO3 playable on newer PCs. There's no profit to be made from it. I love the YouTube video in the first post of this...

Why is Fallout Tactics so underrated/Disliked?

I am currently on my first playthrough of Tactics. I'm reserving jusgement until I'm done. Liking it so far. It's different.

Has This Ever Happened To You?

Hubby and I had been trying to get into the Seirra Army Base for two days. We'd even gotten to the point that we'd looked up hints for how to do it, but weren't finding that "magical path" to sneak between the turrets. As we're about to get mowed down for the 78th time, the turret that's been...

    Your Favorite Fallout 1/2 Moments

My favorite part of Fallout 2? Why, it's you, Sergeant! You're the best character in the entire franchise! ...I loved FO2 for all the reasons its creators disliked it. All the pop culture references and fourth wall breaking moments. The unavoidable mowing down of Lumpy the ghoul with the...

Was Fallout 3 your introduction to the Fallout series?

Nope. I started with the first one. I'm glad my husband insisted. We played all the games in order with the exception of Tactics, which I am sorry to have skipped and would very much like to play. Fallout 3 was, however, my introduction to first-person shooter perspective. Man, was it crazy...
