    Most useless perk

Funny, no one mentioned Awareness, yet? It has it's uses for first-time players and such, but it should be the first to go on any consecutive playthrough. Not as useless as Cult of Personality and Presence, but is next in line, imo.

    J.E. Sawyer and dialogue

Aye. TES games spring to mind, with the few bits of unique info spread among the various NPC's being buried under useless, repetitive, stock filler banter. I also agree on the first point. In RPG's, it's the content, not the presentation, that matters.

    Resurrection: Fallout 3 op-ed article

    - He recognizes Fallout 3 as an RPG because of floaty crosshairs. - He says he has FPS skills but obviously can't do anything without VATS. - He considers challenging combat an immersion breaker. - He has fits of depression about Fallout 3's environment and setting. - He also thinks...

    New California Republic Question

And New Reno, if you sided with the Bishop family. Wonder what will New Vegas establish as canon.

I need a god mode cheat for Planescape Torment

Indeed. Why do i have this nagging feeling this is a troll thread? :?

Xbox World 360 UK Fallout: New Vegas preview online

    Eh. Maybe, maybe it'll all make sense. Maybe not all is lost. Maybe it'll be a good game that won't rape the canon further. I want to believe. ;_;

I need a god mode cheat for Planescape Torment

Hah, well, i somehow doubt there are aimbots and wallhacks available for PS:T. And man, i'd hate to see you give a shot at beating Baldur's Gate 2 with Improved Anvil installed.

I need a god mode cheat for Planescape Torment

There's a difference between experiencing the story and background firsthand and just reading about it in a random walkthrough. Huh. Really? I recently replayed Torment and had 25 con on my mage, no bug triggered or anything. Then again, i was playing with Qwinn's Fixpack.

Yeah i realize all of that, but i could never get it to work good on my rig in dosbox. The mouse movement felt like shit, sound was choppy, it graphics lagged and so on, and so forth. Too lazy/inexperienced with dosbox to try and fix it. Best five dorrars i've spent in years, man. I LIVE...

I need a god mode cheat for Planescape Torment

I seem to recall there are no such cheats for Torment. But you might want to ask on the Spellhold Studios forums. If anyone would know, it would be one of the guys there. I guess you never tried to beat it as a solo rogue. Also, yeah, Morte is *the* tank in this game. With his...

Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. Blood. Compatible. With XP? Holy. Fucking. Shit. I think i'm going to go cry, now. And then lock myself in a room for a month, taking turns in masturbating and playing this game.

    Game demos...a luxury?!

Yeah, hello, demos are just that - demonstrations of your product. They're supposed to be free and widely available, to incite as many customers as possible to purchase what you're peddling. Is this guy retarded? The hell trailers are, then? Jesus christ on a pogo stick. Fuck him and fuck...

Ebert: Video Games Can Never Be Art

Where did i say anything about making all games sandbox-y? I said "a" world, not world. Removing all restrictions would be retarded and void the point of making games. However, i do believe most game genres will became more open and will allow it's players more freedom in their decisions, the...

Ebert: Video Games Can Never Be Art

Not in on itself, but it's a direction games should (and do?) head towards, no? Not neglecting the other aspects, of course. What i meant, was, the "perfect" game wouldn't have to count on build-in limitations to lead the player on a rail towards a goal. You'd be given an objective to follow...

Ebert: Video Games Can Never Be Art

Hmh. As Eyenixon said earlier, the one thing games have that other mediums do not, is interactivity. But what does that leave games with, really? Would being able to walk inside every building in a city, interact with every item, talk to every person and such, make an ultimate game, regardless...

Ebert: Video Games Can Never Be Art

I guess it all depends on how high do you want to set the mark for games to truly become art. I totally agree there has to be that perfect balance struck between all of the elements that make a game, but since those elements are art forms in on themselves, they're all subject to personal...
