I don't think the writing is THAT bad, it's just that Bioware copied from The Witcher shamelessly and sold their game as an unique, adult experience. The story is so 1-dimensional. You are supposed to be a grey warden thing and the 3 classes (fighter-mage-rogue) are just too few to be called rpg...

The most improtant ting is that the damn BW geeks get their "romances" wichc translates as having lesbian sex with the hottest elf (or whatever) in the party or some male equivalent for all those Alistair-fangirlies. GOD i hate this franchise so so much.

I play EU III, but until now only SP and i'm no powerplayer, i kinda roleplay even in strategy games. Usually going for small goals, such as uniting Ireland etc.

I'm considering getting Alpha Protocol - i was pretty scared off from buying it by certain very negative reviews. Any thoughts? Do the gameplay-flaws outweigh the apparently decent story?
