Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

Ah, well. Been holding off replaying FO2 for close to two years now so I can play with the final, fully awesome version of RP. Pretty sure I can wait a little longer.

All the remaining bugfixes. I imagine that will be the top priority.

Fallout 1 mod Fallout Fixt - next release will be some time in Jan 2020

@Sduibek I'm playing with the Team X patch and the 'only viewing' quest (I assume you mean watching the initiates train) doesn't work either, unless you run straight to the training room the moment you enter the Brotherhood bunker. Otherwise, all the trainees just seem to freeze up...

Eldridge is hostile - can I fix this? (F2 restoration patch)

I had this same problem that seemed to happen out of nowhere. If I remember right, Eldridge's dogs are supposed to go hostile if they detect you entering the shop at night when Eldridge is in the back room. They may not initiate combat immediately, and in that event you'll miss the fact that...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

Lootable armor would unbalance the game, I feel, especially with power armor. With FO3 and NV, the armor you take off enemies is usually in dismal condition, but the earlier FOs don't have an item degradation feature. Anyhow, it's nice that F2RP seems to be nearing its final release. I've...

    Horrible F:NV interviewers.

He was a million bucks compared to the interviewer. I actually had trouble understanding what the fuck the interviewer was trying to ask.

    Horrible F:NV interviewers.

The first interviewer sounded like he had a speech impediment. Larry Liberty was a painfully better speaker. The second interviewer sounds like he's not even into games. Again, interviewee is a better speaker, which is pretty ridiculous.

    Giving Cassidy a voice.

I wouldn't describe it as a "youngster's" voice. Could easily pass for a dude in his thirties trying to sound gruffer. A "youngster" voice would be Leonardo DiCaprio's, or Casey Affleck's, who still sound like teenagers sometimes despite being about 35. And it's definitely leaps and bounds...

    lousy double post

    Giving Cassidy a voice.

Nice job. It's kinda forced, yeah, but if David Hayter can get away with it in the later MGS games, then so should anyone else. It could work for a Man With No Name type character, but for Cassidy, a 55-year-old man who looks his age, it just doesn't sound old enough. Could work for Ian, though.

Fallout: New Vegas "Mocking JRPGs" Advertisement

Hahaha, these are pretty great. You have to wonder how the Japanese still aren't sick of JRPGs yet, a genre that has barely evolved at all.

Escapist E3 Fallout new vegas video

This is very good news. It's something I felt was lacking in the original Fallouts and even worse in FO3.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Not for nothing. It could cause some serious bugs, if I'm not wrong (eg. broken quests).

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

I would've just called her Fox, but there are too many people, real and fictional, with that alias. Believe me, I did my homework. If I messed up the facts in any way and wound up misrepresenting Chinese culture, I would admit it and fix it in a later version.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

She is a double agent, as her dialogue states. Play the game, and her background will be explained. As for why her American codename is Kitsune, I've already explained in my last post, and will include it in her dialogue files in a later version. Let's not clutter this thread up with...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

She was spying for U.S.; Kitsune is her American codename. It's supposed to be self-deprecating and ironic. It's not because she wants to be Japanese or is working for the Japanese or anything like that. There was supposed to be some dialogue that explained this, but I forgot to include it.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

You know, I'm starting to believe I subconsciously left it as Kitsune to troll Chinese people. Anyhow, can anyone confirm if the NPC leveling bug has been eliminated?

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Yep. Anyhow, like I said, it's her codename, not her given name.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

I actually posted on NMA when the latest version of the RP was released, saying that I would download it right away. However, I remembered that the NPC leveling bug in the last version screwed my game, so I decided to wait until killap released further patches or at least confirmed that the bug...
