    "Fallout: Van Buren" Fan Remake

Sorry to come a bit late about this topic, but if you plan to migrate to Unity, I could contribute a bit. Specially, I have implemented an isometric like camera system. you can see a little demo in this video:

    Game engines

All engines are free, or almost free. Unity has personal version, Unreal is free until you sell the game, CryEngine is fully free (but asks for donations) and Lumberyard (based on CryEngine) is fully free unless you use Amazon services.

Insomnia A Retrofuturistic RPG Video Game Kickstarter

I tried the demo and was dissapointing, from the technical point of view. Didnt ran on Linux, and couldnt get to the second scene oin Windows, it says that I didnt had enough video RAM (I have an old r7 250 with only 1Gb). I played The Witcher 3 on my PC, perhaps 20-25 FPS, but thats enough for...

Will Wasteland 3 ever become a thing?

Indeed, there is some workstation where you can see Wasteland 3. Cant remember exactly where.

What if someone could make a Fallout game....

I would take Tactics combat system and definitely Van Buren look/feel. I would use Unity3d or Unreal 4, which I already did in a little pet project (some shameless self promotion following):

We need a Sci-Fi Space RPG! Fantasy is saturated.

Interesting, an spanish writer has a good saga mixing fantasy and gods that end up being superdeveloped ancient humans. I would recommed you trying Unreal, its new visual scripting system helps non developers to create games. Of course, it will take some time and study to build a really...

We need a Sci-Fi Space RPG! Fantasy is saturated.

Currently Im working on a cyberpunk RPG. But probably will take 2 years or more to be ready.

Bullet Sponge enemies = false, artificial difficulty levels.

Most games do that. Until we develop some decent AI, the difficult level will be implemented by simply giving the mobs more health, more damage, or throwing a dozen of them instead of 2-3.

    Underrail

I have been playing this game since the first demo. My only complaint: it gets boring towards the end. I first tried a crossbow based build, but hit a weird bug that crashes the game when I shoot the crossbow more than once in a fight, and havent been able to update the game. I also have found...

Torment: Tides of Numenera out on Early Access

That sounds interesting. I wanted to implement timed quests in my RPG project a couple of years ago, but never finished it. This is one of the RPGs Im eagerly waiting for this year.

Cyber Punk 2077 News and Discussion Thread

A couple of months ago, an artist working in the project said that it would be the largest project ever made by CDPR, and that they had learned a lot from Witcher 3.

Building a PC, Is This Alright?

16Gb of RAM are exaggerated. 8 is enough for any modern game, I would invest that money in better video card.

    Underrail

Underrail released today This game made me feel I was playing something very close to old Fallout. It is just $13 on Steam (which, regrettably, I cant pay). Go and get it now!

    Interesting article in Kotaku

One thing does not cancels the other. The game has been dissapointing for her (for me too) as a Fallout based title.

    Interesting article in Kotaku

http://kotaku.com/fallout-4-is-not-the-fallout-fans-fell-in-love-with-1745651992 Even when I disagree with the point of reducing Fallout spirit to "rich and choice-driven", I suscribe every other statement in the article. The story is marginally better than Fallout 3, with some parts being...

The writing is beyond abysmal and the first hint of this is the introduction

Ok, Im a writer myself, and I agree that for some guys who get paid for writing, the introduction seems rushed and poorly planned. Havent played the game, but perhaps the intervals between the Vault-Tec man visit and nuclear attack, and the sense of danger, could have had a better treatment...
