I think it's gotta be either a "hit-by-melee" or dodge animation. Still looks funky though, but even the original Fallout's dodge animations tended to look funky, especially from the new sprites in Fallout 2.

I'm surprised they don't want to hurry up and get it released before Starcraft 2. But then again, SC2 will most likely be delayed. :P I know they're completely different genres and all, but I'm sure a lot of people would pick Starcraft 2 over New Vegas.

I think it worked better in Oblivion & (even better) in Morrowind because they used the same stealth system, but with magical camouflage you can sneak around even better. In Oblivion you can't have as many enchantments, and those found on items are always better than what you can make, so...
