    Fallout: New Vegas preview

Well you could possibly skip the whole GNR thing. It's not necessary to complete the primary quest. Kinda like how you don't have to do the water chip thing in Fallout 1. But it would have been nice if you could just avoid the behemoth and sneak in the building without having to fight it...

GameBanshee interviews Avellone and Urquhart at E3

In a survival game 2 DT would add up over time. After you've been hit 1000 times, that's 2000 extra damage you wouldn't have taken if you had picked a different trait. This would impact your resources quite a bit, and/or your gameplay time if you keep going somewhere for free healing. For a...

Will a PS3 60GB hard drive fit in the new PS3 slim?

My old PS3 has the YLOD (yellow light of death), and so now I'm gonna go get a new PS3 slim. I'd like to keep all my trophies, downloads, etc.. So does anyone know if the old PS3 hard drives will fit in the newer PS3 slim system?

Fallhope Van Buren PC asset conversion

I think it's gotta be either a "hit-by-melee" or dodge animation. Still looks funky though, but even the original Fallout's dodge animations tended to look funky, especially from the new sprites in Fallout 2.

Fallout: New Vegas to be released October 19/22

I'm surprised they don't want to hurry up and get it released before Starcraft 2. But then again, SC2 will most likely be delayed. :P I know they're completely different genres and all, but I'm sure a lot of people would pick Starcraft 2 over New Vegas.

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

Ah, I KNEW it was something like that, but I just couldn't remember the words.

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

I haven't played XIII yet (waiting on it to be $20. They ALL hit that point eventually). I did purchase FF XII when it was released, and the game was only fun up until the point where you get more than one character. After that, you just set them up to auto-cast everything. How dull... I'd have...

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

I like both Fallout and Final Fantasy. They're like apples and oranges though. There aren't many games that you can actually compare Fallout to. It's a tactical, turn based CRPG where you play a lone lonely loner (well maybe not in Fallout 2, but ally AI & level system is so messed up...

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

Thief itself was actually pretty bad toward the end of the game. "Hey, we realize we had you use stealth throughout most of the game, but now it's a thriller type game! You can't sneak up on demons because, well, you know, they're demons! So you'll just have to evade them (good luck!) or kill...

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

I think it worked better in Oblivion & (even better) in Morrowind because they used the same stealth system, but with magical camouflage you can sneak around even better. In Oblivion you can't have as many enchantments, and those found on items are always better than what you can make, so...

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

I think I've seen some patches for Fallout 3 that turn it into more of an action game with slow-mo, rather than the VATS thing. As for the stealth system being flawed, are you talking about how you can stand completely still in a dark area and the enemies not notice you even if they walk...

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

Or if you don't like to play at all, then you could play Metal Gear Solid 4. :P (No offense intended. I thought it was pretty good) From what I've read, it sounds like AP is worth about $20 (or less). That's about as much as the other games we're all comparing it to are worth at this time...

Rene Auberjonois doing voice work on New Vegas

She's better than an underground dwarven stronghold that has been destroyed and overrun by goblins?

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

Person A: "I don't like Fallout 3. It's the worstest game evar!" Person B: "Well I like Fallout 3. I don't like Arcanum though. It was buggy and unplayable." Person A: "What!? How dare you badmouth Arcanum! It's.. it's.. It's just not allowed. Okay? You scum! BAN THE TROLL!! BANN!!!!"

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

I've had an odd feeling about this news post, and I just now understood why. I know this is a tyranny and all. :P But something must be said! :hide: This news post seems so out of place as a.. news post. There's a perfectly good area called General Gaming and Hardware Forum. That's...

What does the EC in "2mm EC" ammo stand for?

When I was playing I never once gave it any thought at all. It was just 2mm EC ammo to me and wasn't actually an abbreviation for anything at all. :P

Fireside Chat: Alpha Protocol reception and New Vegas

I haven't even heard of Alpha Protocol until I decided to check out this extra long news post. Is Alpha Protocol really that bad? How does it stand in comparison to STALKER or Arcanum? I've noticed some people comparing it to Mass Effect, but with poor design and/or mass glitches & bugs. I...

Where can I buy Fallout 1 or 2?

I was just browsing eBay and noticed a few original boxed Fallout games for sale. I thought I'd post links to them in case anyone is interested: Fallout 1: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=120552958957 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=250641543327...

    J.E. Sawyer Formspring #6

Pong? Pacman? Tetris? Or does he not mean simplistic when he says "little depth?" It's actually more a matter of perspective when it comes to determining how much depth a game has. "One man's trash is another man's treasure" Take the crappiest game you know of. I bet there's...
