Yes it needs to installed directly into fallout 2 directory, without subfolder. Look at Pyran's screeengrab pictures in earlier posts he explains how to install

Game seems to work, in english. But I am unable to save. Is this due to the fact that there is no more patch000.dat file but only a folder? Or the way I copied folders from the folder ..\data\ to folder ..\patch000.dat\ ?

They looked different and original in the Russian version, while in the english version they look like Fallout2 pre-made characters. This is why I asked.

I found a way to make it work on mac using crossover: install the gog version for PC on a crossover window bottle. Exploring the C:drive, manually delete the Patch000.dat file, install the nevada.exe after deleting the subfolder name so that it installs directly in the fallout 2 folder...

Ok, my version of fallout 2 is the old one for mac so this is why it probably doesn't work with crossover. Will find the Pc version and check. My admiration for Russians has always been high but this mod is an outstanding work ! It really had this feeling of Fallout 1 & 2 and even some more...

For Mac users, I had the Crazy edition work using crossover. Cannot get past the black screen after the intro movies after installing Fixed edition this time though.
