    FO3/NV way too easy?

Well New Vegas is reasonable difficult for me, because I invest in non combat attributes and skills. Still, the atrocious engine\AI only requires you to exploit some obvious stuff - melee enemies not being able to reach you in some places which aren't so hard to reach etc.

Things we learned from New Vegas

Not saying anything, but it seems you just said that being lesbian and smoking is at least an equally bad thing to do.

    Metro: Last Light

Well I reached the level where you go under a Nazi (or Commie) train into the frontlines of the battle between the two groups and then I lost interest in the game overall. Seems I just got fed up, saw the ending on youtube anyway.

NMA Fallout: New Vegas Lonesome Road Review

Long story short, the DLC did not live up to the hype. Ulysses is a cardboard patriot stereotype - using big words like nation or country, without actually talking about anything specific. The only lesson that he seemed to learn is that nuking the shit out of a country can break the nation...

    Metro: Last Light

I don't think I ever went far enough to have it, so I can't really tell. Shoddy combat scared me off.

Even Tycho from Penny Arcade misses PnP style rpgs

Because it is a huge game world with dozens of possibilities and has a combat/skill system, with witch most people are familiar with? It's much easier to use an existing system with oh-so-much lore about the world.

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Man you're negative. There's to be a drinking contest, somewhere, from what I've read and the rape stuff is probably a thing that happened sometime in the past events.

Drinking mead? Raping? Where do I sign in?

    Max Payne 3

Slowly loosing hope here, but still waiting for the actual game. New Vegas also had a trailer pretty much detached from actual game value.

    Metro: Last Light

I had an impression some bullets didn't reach the place I aimed for, especially the shotgun was useless. Also, no cover system or leaning at least - movement in combat is very stiff. Same goes for the mutant animations, most of the time it's like they ran through me. Times when they jump at you...

5 Ways to Tell You're Getting Too Old for Video Games

I believe he wanted people to put things in perspective, which from what I see on these forums, many people fail to do. He may be using wrong arguments sometimes, but he's got a point.

5 Ways to Tell You're Getting Too Old for Video Games

Well the problem is people wanted games to evolve, wanted shinier and more realistic visuals, full voice overs, tense action - now that we have it, turns out some stuff had to be sacrificed. That's the way of things. It's not like I don't mind simplifing everything, but damn it if I ever...

    Metro: Last Light

http://metro.thq.com/ So, seems it more action packed now and has awesome physics. I wonder if they finaly made the shooting mechanics and mutant animations less broken? Because those two things killed Metro 2033 for me.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

And how big Fallout 1/2 were? It's all about simplicity and ergonomy of the technology they use.

5 Ways to Tell You're Getting Too Old for Video Games

Yeah well it's true. As you grow, so does your expectations, while games rarely evolve since - gasp - they're made for profit and always have been.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Finished Space Marine and can't say it's too short. At 3/4 of the campaign the missions get very uninspired and most of the time you just walk through corridors filled with enemies, mostly alone and with no dialogue or interesting story elements whatsoever. Not saying that crushing the enemies...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Back to the trailers - is there no kind of dialogue lines or audio for the conversation with the smith? Couldn't notice any.

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

This is exactly my point. Most of the latest posts are about not liking Todd. I know why, but I am more interested in how the game turns out, not if the main guy behind it is a douche bag (since we already know that).

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Not meaning to troll anyone, but this thread is an awful hatefest, I can rarely find anything through "Lol Todd suck, stupid Bethesda games suck". Come on people, if you dislike to game so much, why bother with it? Anyway, I bet this game will be like going on a beer with friends when...
