Brian Fargo on multiplayer, DLC and quest compasses

Multiplayer is not really integral in either Baldur's Gate (co-op) or Fallout Tactics (skirmish). Just a bonus (although Tactics multiplayer was very popular in Poland years ago, more so than anywhere else that I've seen). As long as it isn't more important to the overall experience than in...

Brian Fargo on multiplayer, DLC and quest compasses

I wouldn't mind a co-op mode or a tactical skirmish mode akin to Fallout Tactics. I thought the FOT multiplayer was quite fun.

    Wasteland Kickstarter Update #4

The "kick it forward" idea doesn't really require any work on it for now, and it ensures them some more publicity as more gaming media will now be posting about it. I think he's doing a good job promoting the damn thing.

    MCA's New Vegas maquettes

Bethesda also didn't want to license out the rights to a Fallout PnP RPG. Green Ronin was interested but Bethesda turned them down and they eventually went for the Dragon Age license instead.

    Wasteland 2 Kickstarter has launched

Looks like another game kickstarter just got funded: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stoic/the-banner-saga This time with a more modest target sum ($100k) and with developers that are experienced but without any well-known names.

Kickstarter: Could it throw publishers out of the loop?

And looks like The Banner Saga just got funded. How about The Banner Saga's rather modest $100k goal? No product yet, of course, but after Schafer and Fargo, it shows that you can get funding this way even without a big-name auteur.

    Wasteland 2 Kickstarter has launched

Not because he didn't try. He's been pitching Wasteland 2 to publishers pretty much from the start. Perhaps not creatively, but he is still remembered by a lot of people thanks to the "Brian Fargo presents" thing.

Putting an NMA bar in Wasteland 2 (goal reached!)

"Brother None" sounds like a perfectly fine name for a former member of the Guardians of the Old Order (who had names like Brother Goliath or Sister Wrath).

If you manage to raise $2500, you can add an artifact - a glittering gem of hatred.

A bar that does not allow mutants fits the setting perfectly. It's something that won't be jarring if encountered by someone who doesn't know about this site.

    GameBanshee Wasteland 2 Interview

The combat mechanics themselves in in FOT were good, even if the map design was not that great.
