    The most badass mofos around

Based on what? Seriosly if it was propaganda they would have handed him a medal of honor and paraded him around. He is not some soldier that went around shooting dead bodies in the head to pretend that he is some great badass, this is an intelligent man who delivered more than a thousand...

    The most badass mofos around

Never gets mentioned in U.S. History because he is Mexican-American (and was made white in the movie) but check out Guy Gabaldon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Gabaldon PFC Guy Louis Gabaldon ( March 22, 1926–August 31, 2006) was a United States Marine who was credited with capturing...

    Aliens Invade Fallout 3

Yeah, but I'm not talking about continuity making life difficult for writers, I'm talking about people having these painful, vitriolic reactions to deviations from Canon and how I consider myself fortunate to be at least partially immune, since people to whom this is a big deal make it sound...

    Aliens Invade Fallout 3

That in every genre there are people who take pop fiction way too seriosly? As somebody who reads comics I'm glad that writers are finally starting to ignore those 60+ years of continuity in order to write entertaining stories. Hell, I recently did some online test where I guessed more than...

Windows 7 to replace Vista, try out the beta

So right now I'm thinking 7 is inevitable for me, but I'm in no rush. I'm contemplating building a new PC early next year because when I built this one a few years back I went cheap on the MOBO and because of that I can use good graphics cards and ram but I'm stuck with a pretty outdated...

Windows 7 to replace Vista, try out the beta

Now I have an instal of windows XP that I'm extremely happy with (good protection, no fat, well organized) so I was wondering what the reasons to upgrade are other than it being "as good as xp". Now I think that Vista does some Direct X stuff that XP is incapable of, does 7 have graphics...

    Zombie Crawl

Sounds like the Boston Marathon actually... hundreds of skinny people running and occasionally throwing up.

    The Road the movie.

A movie forum that I'm on has been following the development closely and they seem very satisfied and excited. Honestly I'll be happy just to get some of the poetic prose presented out loud in voiceover to a backdrop of scenes of total devastation.

    The Road the movie.

Audiobook is amazing too, it has extremely good acting. Listening to the actor almost in tears over canned peaches had me feeling guilty at the supermarket.

    Zombie Crawl

They do a zombie parade thing here in Boston. I've always wanted to show up dressed as a police officer or soldier and walk around shooting at them and yelling "oh no! The bullets arent stopping them!".

    Interplay Quarterly

Sounds a lot like how I learned how to swim. Maybe interplay might learn something...

The RPG Genre is fucked up

I agree... I dislike how it has become common on the internet to either think everything is the worst ever or the best ever, and to take arguments as far as possible because at worse you get ignored (and get away with it) and but usually it means that people who love controversy or who get...

    NMA The Pitt Review

That was one of my main problems with The Pitt, they did very little but what they did they did well... I would have loved some living areas for the workers, more abandoned apartments to explore and more of a sense of it being a society. That is why I wish that Fallout 3 had an option to placing...

    PG-13 Terminator

3 was bad but it was really fun and the ending was ballsy, not that I'll get into spoilers or anything. I'm looking forward to 4, my only fear is that it might take itself too seriosly... 2 and 3 walk this great line between annihalation and action movie metahumor.

    Weird Emails from Myself

Yeah, I would worry about dementia first, and maybe then hackers.

    Bethesda robbing Interplay blind

I still think he should have sold the whole thing getting as much money as possible and then developed a new IP. I'm not saying that Interplay cant do anything good with Fallout, but they could be creating something new with a couple more million in their battle chest and no leash on their neck.

    Aliens Invade Fallout 3

Now the reason I keep mentioning a Simulator is that I would LOVE to play a retro version of X-Com within Fallout 3... 1950's style suburbs, fishbowl helmeted aliens and your squadmates getting blasted into piles of ash every time you make a mistake. In other words I think Zeta would be best...

Bill Clinton was approached to voice Fallout 3's president

There must be a thousand comedians itching to dust off their Clinton voice now that he is not as relevant. I actually really like Malcom McDowell presidential performance though, so thank god they where not able to go with the crazier Clinton casting.

    Aliens Invade Fallout 3

As I've said before on this thread, the fallout in my head involves barely surviving in a terrible new world... and alien technology scares me more because it could save the world instead of conquer it. You know, the "I see your GECK and raise you one GENESIS DEVICE". But yeah, I would not...

Bill Clinton was approached to voice Fallout 3's president

Rhodes Scholar as well... I had not moved to the US when he was in office so I never paid much attention to him but in retrospect he was an astute corporatist who loves dealing with shady characters. His Hillbilly attitude has to be at least a little bit cultivated, not like Bush's lobotomized...
