If bethesda didnt have the fallout license

I suppose I'm glad Bethesda bought it. It lead to Fallout New Vegas after all.

Think a voiced protagonist is a bad idea? Here's Bethesda's reasoning!

Sigh... I'll wait for Walpknut to restate the same reasons if he wants. He says it better than I. I don't think Bethesda does the most quality writing, no.

Think a voiced protagonist is a bad idea? Here's Bethesda's reasoning!

Okay. I mean, it was actually a true story, the glass thing.

Fallout 4 coming out on November 10, free mobile spin-off out now

Meh. On rails might not be the best way to describe what I'm trying to get at. Can't think of how to say it though. Limiting maybe? I suppose I'm annoyed that we're getting a companion this immediately.

Think a voiced protagonist is a bad idea? Here's Bethesda's reasoning!

Regarding my example of The Wolf among Us, the character that gets hit with the glass responds with, "Why the hell did you do that!?". At that point I was thinking, "Great question!"

Think a voiced protagonist is a bad idea? Here's Bethesda's reasoning!

Something like that. A good example would be in Telltale's The Wolf Among Us. There is an option when talking to a character to "glass him". I Assumed that meant to join him in drinking, so I clicked it. My character proceeded to smash his glass cup into his face instead. To improve your...

Think a voiced protagonist is a bad idea? Here's Bethesda's reasoning!

As Walpknut has stated many times in other threads, it's limiting what you think will be said and can end up being nothing what you thought it would be.

Think a voiced protagonist is a bad idea? Here's Bethesda's reasoning!

It's not really the story, per say, but the feel. This dialogue wheel is drifting from what made Fallout unique. Many things in Fallout 4 are. Side note: I actually liked ME 3's ending, though I had the free ending DLC.

Think a voiced protagonist is a bad idea? Here's Bethesda's reasoning!

I enjoyed those games too. However, is this what we want? Fallout to become Mass Effect?

Think a voiced protagonist is a bad idea? Here's Bethesda's reasoning!

That's the general consensus outside of No Mutants Allowed and a steam group I frequent.

    Fallout 4 Story Conjectures

Just for the hell of it, why don't we state our guesses for the story? What do you think will happen? Feel free to add on to the ideas of others or create multiple theories. Here's mine: Player enters vault 111. There is only one cryo tank/all but one break. You fight for it/everyone dies from...
