Where could Elder Scrolls go next?

Pretty sure he was making a joke. Have you played Oblivion? You literally go through hell whenever you find a red portal.

    RPG ideas?

Hey guys, I'm coding an RPG based on the book "Flatland," and I was wondering if you had any suggestions/ideas. It would probably help if you've read the book, but the general gist is that the main character is a square in a 2 dimensional world. The world is populated by different shapes, with...

Jesse Heinig on ghouls and FEV

The Glow was a hell of a major area in terms of theme and setting. Also if you take into account all the mutated animals in both original games, radiation is everywhere.

Jesse Heinig on ghouls and FEV

If FEV caused the ghouls, I think it largely removes a lot of the post-nuclear stigma of radiation and the dangers of a nuclear holocaust. Radiation works for me largely to make the mood of the game more pronounced.

Where could Elder Scrolls go next?

Honestly I feel like it would be Bethesda to rationalize something like a turn based combat abstraction. "The spice makes you able to stop time and....not react when other people do things!" "it's a result of the drug that you took when you were little. Your doctor was a chess nut"...

    Why do we like music?

True statement. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I talked about this is a science class earlier this year. Some people thought that humor and laughter was a sign of submission, which might be true on some small level, but I really do think it's just an outgrowth of social communication...

    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I can't help but remember Jedi Knight II, where I would save before every jedi battle just so I could play it again and again.

    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Sigh, I hope it isn't like this. Shouldn't flourish attacks be fast and awesome? It's like slow mo when using Fast Shot.

    Why do we like music?

As Arronax said, there are a lot of evolutionary "leftovers" or side effects that species acquire from mutations. We may like to hear certain intervals and rhythms because, as I said, we evolved to sympathize with them during speech/social development.

    Why do we like music?

I disagree with "back and forth" (ohmy) concerning the fact that the love of music is hard wired. It seems like music just happens to sound like things we're familiar with, be it speech or other things in nature. We have evolved to have a particular reaction to particular intervals (due to...

    Why do we like music?

from what I've studied, ))<>(( hit the nail on the head with this one. (How do you pronounce ))<>((? How about super bracket man?) anyways to add to the discussion, I read a study that found that after recording and analyzing speech patterns of a sample, researchers found that we did in...

    Duke Nukem Forever

Yes but at the same time it removes a lot of the old-time-shooter feel for a new, more tactical, realistic feel. Duke was never meant to be realistic ...or very tactical.

    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

or you can play the game REALLY wrong, by tagging the useless skills and only using the useful skills. Therefore you never level but still become a fighting machine.
