    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

2Dravean Yes, it is possible. And, with Wasteland free of "evil", anyone else can go and search for the chip. Again, player's became too dangerous for the Overseer to let him stay or even let him continue his quest. So, there are plenty of explanations for this way of ending the game...

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

May be I'll try to do something about it. I think, one line like «now give me the water chip and get out» will help. :)

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

I played a pure "social" character while I was testing 1.3.5 patch. And yes, it was a big fun. :)

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

Yes, I know (even fixed a bug, which prevented them from leaving peacefully). But you have to remember: there is no strict sequence in solving the main quests in FO1. And such moments are designed to encourage players to choose different way next time. There are plenty of ways for playing FO1...

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

When you kill the Master, invasion stops (it was in original files, I decided not to change anything). «Bite the head off the snake...» ;)

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

Fixed a minor bug with a "greeting messages" in invaded towns: now they change correctly after the invasion. Mod page has been updated: download FO1RMp1v10b2.7z. Also, the second part of the mod is ready: download FO1RMp2v10b1.7z (readme).

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

Hmm... So there is critical failure, but not the critical success... Interesting. Not exactly. But may be it will be appropriate, if V13 will be closed for player forever after finishing the main quest. So there will be destroyed MB and Cathedral, inaccessible V13 and all the other towns for...

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

2Per Yes, I remember breaking my lockpicks, but don't remember in what game version it was. That's the reason I decided to look inside the engine before actually change anything. BTW, I've checked criticall success in game: never happens.

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

They are all of the same nature. It seems, is_critical check is never true. But to be sure I've recently asked Ray to look into the engine and find some evidence to support (or disproof) this theory.

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

2i30817 There already is an "alternative" Cathedral map. As well as MB map. Make what you asking is easy. Technically. But it is not consistent with the game storyline. So it seems inappropriate. 2Cubik2k I've been thinking about replasing is_critical check with two sequential is_succes (or...

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

No, it is used in rndmtn.int. But it requires critical success to show up. And since engine doesn't seems to generate criticals... Yes, I may have to check all scripts for is_critical condition and do something about it. Thanks.

Patches updated, Fallout Restoration Mod announced

There is also Jordan — another crazy russian :) — who tries to re-make FO1 using FO2 engine.

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

There are at least three unfinished random encounters, which can be easily restored: 1. Lance (Lance.msg). 2. Sean (invaded.msg). 3. A possibility to find a gold deposit in the mountains (Rndmtn.msg #111 and #125).

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

2Mikael Grizzly I know this. ;) I even released a so called «caravan mod» once, including all these features, but it was too buggy. Now I'm working on correcting those bugs, restoring some random encounters and releasing all this as the part 2 of the Restoration Mod. ;)

Patches updated, Fallout Restoration Mod announced

Unfortunately at this point I'm the only active member of a team. In fact, in past several years TeamX became more just a name of the modding site than a name of the modding group. There are some people, who occasionally help me (with engine modifications, for example), but mostly I'm working...

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

If someone will create all the required animations... :) I decided not to change the original values. Besides, if the invasion begins too late, what's the point in it? ;) Yes. Gustofer in Junktown mentiones it:

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

No, I don't. And I can't — I have no means to make a whole new critter type with a new animation. And, as I said before, some older concepts are contradictious to existing Fallout Universe and I won't "restore" them.

    Fallout: A Post-Nuclear War role-playing game bugs

Unofficial Fallout1 patch, v1.3.5 and it's english readme. Fallout1 NPC Mod v.3.5 and No NPC Armor Mod for Fallout1 NPC Mod. Release candidate of universal semi-official 1.2.1 patch and it's readme. If you have FALLOUT Version 1.0 (29 Sep 1997) [US] or FALLOUT Version 1.1 (09 Nov 1999)...

    FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Restoration Mod

Yes, it is smaller. But sometimes I think it contains even more "unfinished bussines" than FO2. And it is very contradictious. Anyway, I'll try to do my best. :) But note, that I can't devote all my free time to this mod: I still have my life and my family to care about. :) Thank you. But it's...
