I can't help but find it sad that id Software is reduced to being a Bethesda Games asset, that get's ordered to attend press events to dance like monkeys.

Mr. Morgan should be the one making the music for New Vegas. If he isn't, why isn't he? His music IS Fallout.

I wish the series as a whole, would have followed the tone set by Fallout 1 much more closely. Nothing else compares to it. Not even Fallout 2.

Are you telling me that Fallout 1 and 2 didn't have a lot of violence and explosions? Really? Are you implying only first person shooters can pull that off? At any rate you took what I said, twisted the meaning, and inserted words in my mouth, so I'm not going to waste much time...

To be fair, explosions and violence were also a huge part of the first two games, let's be real here. The main thing Fallout 3 failed at was the story telling. Pure and simple.

The chances of that happening are less than zero, guys. Or do you not understand how corporate politics works? Ever hear the phrase "don't bite the hand that feeds"? If Obsidian ever wants to work on any Fallout game ever again, they'll refrain from putting a "bethesda sucks" message...

We already have Fallout The Lunch Box. Soon we can look forward to Fallout the Breakfast Cereal, Fallout the Toilet Paper, and if we're really lucky we can get Fallout The Flame Thrower!

IMO the worst aspect of Fallout 3 was the core story. It made no damn sense at all. I'm hoping Beth remain hands-off when it comes to the writing, because frankly they don't get it. The fact that they won awards for good writing, hurts my brain to think about.

If it's not in orbit, than how does this "laser platform" work? I don't see how you can summon a beam from Helios without something to bounce it off of.

Here is my question. Is the Fallout 2 Hint Book, and the Vault City endgame easter egg computer still removed from the mod? I always liked taking advantage of them, after playing through the entire game, and was always disappointed that they were removed. Black Isle obviously wanted them there.

I don't think he's out of line by calling Fallout "my baby". He might not have worked on it, but at the time wasn't he the person signing paychecks for everyone who did? If Herve gets credit for ruining the franchise, Fargo should get some credit for helping it be birthed in the first place.

One piece of context missing from this discussion. Fallout was never a realistic simulator of combat. Arguing over how much coverage the combat armor has is laughable, IMO.

This is the problem with nostalgia. This is why I remember NES games looking much better than they really are. The fact is that Fallout 1 and 2 are not absolutely perfect in every detail, so it's pointless to try to herald them as some sort of flawless games. When New Vegas comes out...

It is truly amazing that they opened up these archives for free. Here is a fun one to search: "life on the moon". Some of the articles form the 20s-30's, on the subject, are pretty amusing.
