94: Turns out FEV was pretty common before the war. I mean, just look how prevalent it is throughout America! I bet you could buy canasters of it at your local Super Duper Mart.

Things we learned from Fallout 4

65: Being charismatic means you can wave a gun in someone's face and they immediately surrender. Because you know, waving a gun around is very charismatic. 66: Being intelligent increases the number of parts you can slap onto a gun.

Thanks, I'll take a look at it.

    Automatron opinion thread.

Well, to be fair, the Automatron DLC is the perfect DLC for FO4. You get new things to shoot, new things to loot, and they even threw in some more returning for that extra bang for you buck! (Fuck, $10? Really? I could buy a whole game for that kind of cash)

Good points, I think my thing is I just tend to shy away from multiplayer type games. TBH, I'm quite sure why. Also, yeah I played L4D once with a friend. Didn't really enjoy it too much. Then again, maybe that was because it was like 5 am I hadn't gotten any sleep that night. ;-)

Isometric TBRPG or New Vegas-styled FPSRPG?

The reason that New Vegas has more mods has nothing to do with what perspective it's in. It has more mods because it's more popular.

    New Gamers Suck

Eh, I honestly don't enjoy competitive play all that much. When I play multiplayer I vastly prefer co-op.

    New Gamers Suck

Exactly. If you have to be an ass to others just to enjoy a game, you probably just shouldn't play that game.

Isometric TBRPG or New Vegas-styled FPSRPG?

I don't really have a preference for either, as long as it's done well. For example, NV showed us that if it's done by a competent developer that actually understands what an RPG is, first-person works very well. At the same time though, first-person is definitely more player skill based than...

Anyone else think this whole 'Synth' thing has gone too far?

Also IIRC, isn't Tim Cain working at Obsidian now? I'm sure he'd love to get a chance to work on another Fallout.

Anyone else think this whole 'Synth' thing has gone too far?

Yeah, you're right. I have this faint hope maybe Bethesda will announce another Obsidian Fallout at E3 this year. At the same time though I don't want to get my hopes up, seeing as how Obsidian is probably busy with Tyranny right now.

    New Gamers Suck

Not really. I mean, a shit game is a shit game whether you play it with friends or not. For example, playing Borderlands, I hated it. I thought it was a boring shoot 'n loot. I thought playing with friends could make the experience better, but it was still the same boring shoot 'n loot.

Too bad Bethesda's ego is too big for them to let Obsidian make another Fallout.

Things we learned from Fallout 4

64: A small, isolated group of scientists holed up underground can go on for over 200 years without inbreeding becoming an issue. -EDIT- Or maybe it is an issue, and that's why the Institute's leaders are so retarded?

    New Gamers Suck

While I agree people take games a bit too seriously nowdays, I don't think it's fair to say "New Gamers Suck" I mean, I seriously doubt all new gamers play games only to burn time. I'd elaborate on this but my battery is dying.

Things we learned from Fallout 4

48: The Commonwealth is home to hundreds of "Legendary" weapons, which are often carried by mole rats. (Oh and most of them are magic, too)

The best part of it is: this even be a fucking issue if Beth wasn't so intent on shoving a damn backstory down our throat!

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

The Talos Principle: It's a pretty decent first-person puzzel. The puzzels are well designed, simple and yet still pretty challenging. It also delves into the realm of philosophy, though it feels like it was kinda tacked on as an afterthought. It's fairly pricey at $40, though I got it on sale...
