Where do you draw the line between A.I. and script? Isn't AI just a variable script? The pre-scripts you talk about in HL1 is what made the enemy soldiers come into action, when the player triggered some script by moving past a certain point. But in what way they "choose" to...

Never seen or played HL1 DM before, but this video don't look anything like i expected. It looks more like Q1/Q3 kind of gameplay, back in those days most of the skilled players played like that or better. Watch some old QW replays if you dont belive me, some really sick people out there...

Agreed. I like the beginning with all the mercenaries and the environments was/is very nice. But when you start to meet the “monsters” it really gets boring fast. If i remember correctly i don't think the AI was to bad, not very good either tho. But i like how they searched for you...

:lol: intoxicate you have apparently understood and seen that there is a big piece within the gaming core that have gone missing. I don't understand why publishers haven't fully understood this. Im sure that if any of the big pubslihers would start producing "real CRPGs" (not action-rpg)...

The problem with the CoD games have always been that you need to retch a certain point for a script to kick in so you can continue. Endless waves of enemys really killed those games imo. I haven't played very far in CoD 4 yet but there seem to be a bit better than in the previous games...

I would like to see you try and do something better in 10 min. Try and we will se... Its not only the electronic elements who make the song okej. Maes violin isn't something you can mix togheter in a software. Or you can but im sure you will never get a better result .
