Rusty quest compass: in.
More tweaked Oblivion systems in lieu of something unique.
Players would be frustrated by anything other than completely obvious consequences, so that's what ours are.
I never did buy it. It's on my list of 30 or so indies to purchase and I can only buy 2-4 a month. I've only ever heard of OS from NMA and RPGCodex and recently from RPGWatch, so he didn't do even a rudimentary job of promoting his game. Dhruin at Watch pointed out that he never even contacted...
I seem to remember not too long ago that when people came here, as many recent trolls have, with problems that could described as... "obvious", they sometimes could not be persuaded to leave either from flames or logical deconstruction.
No, instead there was a simple step taken to notify...
I like the armor from afar, but when you get close you can clearly see the Oblivion armor-attaching system at work. Fucking pauldrons, leggings and all. It's the worst in that guy with no helmet.
It's almost as if she's just an experienced artists who has only given the source material a cursory glance and gotten 'post-apocolyptic' out of it, or something.
But really, she's just an artist. Faults as to the look of the whole world lie with the art director who defines the style of the...
What the hell is with the "chair that's 4 pixels high" quib that Pete and Todd both spout? They're either too childish or ignorant of the original games to come up with a good example of their graphics, or they're just trying to make them sound like shit.
If this letter was a chair --> h...
When modeling the combat system, they started with Call of Duty and Halo. Wowza. Until e3, I would have never been that pessimistic about Beth's handling of Fallout 3.
But hey, they could have gone with slow-mo instead of pause! Things could always be worse!
If you're still here...
Within VATS, how did he pick his target? I don't mean the specific body part. How did he pick which hostile to attack? Did he just mouselook to it while paused? Was their another way to choose from all the hostile creatures in range like from a list or did it zoom out...
If Fallout had been a FPS-RPG and used the Daggerfall engine, it could have done pretty much everything they've described so far in Fallout 3, sans the pretty.
What has changed that this is suddenly the only way to go? Or perhaps the originals were just big mistakes that are now finally being...
You're both wrong. The character will have the name "Fuck" and his dialog will consist solely of the word "Fuck". Noun, verb, adjective, adverb, conjunction, definitive, preposition: "Fuck". No tensing, no gerunds, just "Fuck". Over and over again.
Apologists, mostly in the comments of these articles and the Beth forums, keep making the same damn argument: "In my industry we have to wine and dine clients if we want to secure a sale or a contract, so grow up. It's real life."
These aren't CLIENTS or RETAILERS. They're fucking critics...
Graphics are nice, yes. Certainly good looking. But they've altered some things in a way that seems lazy, not imaginative. The Vault suits are now shirts and slacks, instead of retro-futuristic body-fitting jumpsuits. The mutants look like something out of Doom 3. Things look blasted and...
But apparently in FO3 everyone is a cannibal, since their's a convenient stat to show your cannibalism level. Maybe you absorb their power when you eat their hearts.
Set was batshit, though. If he ate people it could have well been because he was nuts and not because he was a nucular zombie...
I realize there is already a music thread but this is more concerned with the styles of music that would be appropriate to the setting, rather than specific song suggestions. (posted in the beth forums but they've devolved to something pretty worthless in the last week)
The Ink Spots recorded...
