I have to say that I don't see why it's inherently better to call something that's clearly Los Angeles "Adytum". I suppose you could say that it's in Lolifornia and that the United States of Flamerica was fighting a war against the Mommunists, but again, if it's that transparent, what's the...

    the mercedes-benz E500 is a fine automobile

I don't, but Merdedes makes awful manual transmissions and only offers them in their weak base models here. If you want a high-end Merdedes in the U.S., you're getting an automatic. My car has a six-speed manual transmission.

Maybe to make your transition easier, you can try the new Saab that's essentially a Subaru. lol Saabaru. By the way, I can't afford a Mercedes-Benz E500. Well, I guess I could, but only if I liked eating soup for five years straight.

    the mercedes-benz E500 is a fine automobile

If you have $60,000-$70,000 to drop on a new sedan, the Mercedes-Benz E500 is quite a fine automobile. The 5.0L n/a V8 produces an impressive amount of torque at low RPMs. It's mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox with almost seamless, smooth shifting. The ride has adjustable suspension for...

I'm not trying to "own" anyone. Saint's ideas for cults are great. I'm sure he and I and you and Farmer Bob and Officer McManus could all sit around and think up cult ideas until next Saturday. Every person is going to come up with different ideas on what they would like to see in a game...

Some of the most powerful items took multiple steps to create. All of the top tier armors required a materials creation step at a science lab, which was then followed by the armor creation itself, at the mechanics shop. A lot of the ingredients you would find were common household objects...

I'm not really sure where this stuff comes from. Why can't people just say, "I don't like that idea." instead of suggesting that the source of the idea is an incompetent buffoon?

Er, no. Actually, we decided to use Mormons for the reasons stated. I'm not really sure how you came to the conclusion you did. Well, if there's a lot of room, why can't a few real-world things be examined as well? Mormonism wasn't the only religion/cult present in F3. You are the most...

Bethesda has the best fan interaction *ever*

Re: Skill Enhancement I'm certainly not interested in becoming more fertile. Maybe it's a good thing that American fashion is what it is.

Because it allowed us to show how members of a real world faith responded to the destruction of the world around them. Their presentation wasn't about showing that they were right or wrong, but how they thought about their traditional codes of behavior in the most trying of circumstances...

I may be lamenting the lack of skirts for men in the U.S., but I'm straight.

I was handling the Mormon area, New Canaan, which was built in a ruined section of Ogden, Utah. I tried to represent them in a respectful manner. Their community was fairly successful as long as it was left alone. When outsiders started to filter in, their rules about the use of alcohol and...

Well, you know, not only was the Fallout 3 storyline inaccurately described by John Deiley (no disrespect to him, but it was), but almost any storyline can sound astoundingly lame outside of its exploration. Your vault needs a water chip. When you go to find it, you learn that an evil army...

Yeah, pretty much. Mechanics (which replaced Repair), Medic (which replaced First Aid and Doctor), Science, and Outdoorsman were all going to allow you to craft items. The very best items in the game could only be created, not found. However, those super fancy items required very high skill...

Like an orange jumpsuit with white stripes down the sides, white gloves, and white boots. The helmet would have been white with a clear visor and an obnoxious antenna sticking out of the top. At least, that's how I wanted it to look.

Oh, I don't want anyone to get the impression that it wasn't Photoshopped. I designed all of the interfaces in VB, but I am not an artist. There's no point to a designer trying to make pretty-looking interfaces that an artist is just going to re-create (especially when the designer is color...

It wasn't implemented by the time I left Black Isle, just designed. When I left, the game was using standard damage thresholds and health only. It was intended to be used in both single and multiplayer. Ferret helped me work out the armor values, since they were looking a little weird at...
