It's not based specifically upon the historical event, so much as it is upon the mythology surrounding the event. Get over it, sheesh. This looks like a beautiful and faithful translation of Miller's book. I'm excited.

I didn't like Season 2 as much as Season 1. Too much filler in the second season, and the finale was ... well, abrupt and weird. Hopefully the third season will be a bit more entertaining.
