AK-112 5mm Assault Rifle (AKA the WTF rifle)

Kinda what I said in my first post? :P Yes, that is what I think. There is nothing anywhere that says that AK-112 is not a Kalashnikov, but like you said, the good diplomatic situation between USA and USSR was a fact.

AK-112 5mm Assault Rifle (AKA the WTF rifle)

There is nothing in Fallout (any Fallout) that says "AK" does not mean Avtomat Kalashnikova. And weapons were different in each Fallout game so mentioning Fallout 3 or any other Fallout game apart from 1 or 2, has nothing to do with the AK-112, in my opinion.

AK-112 5mm Assault Rifle (AKA the WTF rifle)

The Avtomat Kalashnikova is a kind of assault rifle. The item in Fallout is called "assault rifle" and its description says it's an AK. If you know about any other assault rifle kind called "AK", please let us know.

    FO2 TC: Fallout of Nevada

Damn right. I can't wait for a translation. Mayakovsky and Khlebnikov for a quick snack?

    Your Favourite Fallout game?

I voted Fallout 1, and I always thought the same as the ones who like it more than Fallout 2 in this thread. Edit: do you remember the "old battle" encounter? or the lone raider you can find after crushing the Khans? in a way, Fallout 2 has more content. In a way, it has less.

One aspect in which I liked Fallout 3 more than New Vegas

Funny and short way to get my point about NV :) People, your discussion is interesting of course. In fact I wouldn't want it to end because of this reply. But once again I repeat I never said that Fallout 3 was better because the people there cared about pre-War society/history...

One aspect in which I liked Fallout 3 more than New Vegas

Sure did! re-read my OP: "I believe this is one of the aspects that has marked the Fallout world since the beginning." In this topic I wanted to talk about the Bethesda games and compare them. And yeah I guess you could say it has to do with the "setting" but I think we are not giving the...

AK-112 5mm Assault Rifle (AKA the WTF rifle)

The description of the DKS says clearly that it was rechambered to .223, but you don't find anything like that in the description of the AK, so I guess it was 5mm by default.

AK-112 5mm Assault Rifle (AKA the WTF rifle)

As I'm sure most of you already know, the Avtomat Kalashnikova was developed by the Soviet Union so it has been said that the AK-112 is the "WTF rifle", because although it's obviously Soviet in origin, it uses NATO ammunition. However, it seems that in the Fallout Universe, there was no...

One aspect in which I liked Fallout 3 more than New Vegas

I said clearly, the Great War destroyed pre-War America. Yet pre-War world managed to have a tremendous influence on the post-nuclear world (wasteland) via the Sino-American War and the Great War, and their inmediate consequences both before and after the bombs fell: vaults, radiation, FEV, etc...

Any way to take off this bullshit item without a mod? It's really ridiculous.

    Alternate title?

You mean Fallout: BOS, right? If so, I do get your point, but I'd say it's not entirely true. Nobody remembers BOS (you know what I mean), but Fallout 3 ("Fallout: Capital Wasteland") is a game the gave Bethesda a lot of bottle caps and brought a lot of "Fallout" fans. It's not just the title.

One aspect in which I liked Fallout 3 more than New Vegas

Fallout has a deep root in the Americans' mentality and fears during the 50's: the possibility of a nuclear war and as a result, a radiated world with mutated creatures. There's a reason why Fallout USA still showed characteristics of the 50's in 2070's. That is why Fallout world is the result...

Sorry for the off topic, but are such terms really necessary?

    New creatures

Every Fallout game after the first one has brought us new creatures to shoot (Geckos, Cockroaches, Yao Guai, Cazador). Do you have any idea for a new creature that could show up in the wasteland?

Who is heir to the Enclave

I probably wouldn't mind something similar to what Mistrz said: the Enclave reappearing in an unexpected way. Or maybe just a group of Enclave remnants who formed a small local power... but I don't think Bethesda is going to do something like that, so maybe it'd be best if Enclave was gone...

I think it's just to make fun of American anti-communism during the Cold War. Also check the computers in the Nuka Cola factory, see how capitalism treated its workers :P

"But the scars left by the war have not yet healed, and the Earth has not forgotten." No need to tell where that is from. I believe this is one of the aspects that has marked the Fallout world since the beginning. The Great War, the most important highlight in (Fallout world) history, is...
