    Sulik probably has his limbs broken. Get him fixed in Vault City. As for finishing the quest, you probably made the wrong dialog choice when you first met Karl (same as I did), we're looking for a solution to that, meanwhile don't go back to Jo, just do other quests and if we find a solution...

    You're right, I assumed that his problem was the same as mine (he mentioned The Den), that Jo wouldn't let you complete the "Modoc-Ghost Farm relations" quest. Does this apply for getting the quest to start or to end (the bug with Karl), or both? Also wouldn't the Fallout Cracker program edit...

    For some reason it doesn't change anything though it should. Only other things I can see are: Global variable 402 = you can tell Karl it's safe to go back (but this is not what we want) Local variable 4 = seems to be changed the first time you talk to him but I don't think local variables...

    From looking at the script I believe it's Global Variable 119 (to set to "1") but I'm not sure. Can you try that out for me? This should tell the game that Karl has told you his story, so you can tell Jo where he is, then tell Karl he can go back. It won't give the dialog back - he won't tell...

    OK, I found an option in the cfg file Setting it to 1 has fixed the problem. Don't know why it was needed... don't know much about hardware tech, is having an unreliable high performance timer something to worry about? Hopefully there won't be any other problems, thanks for your help Killap.

    I did an F2 humongous manual install to a fresh directory, used your installer, then the fixes, nothing else. The main menu says the right version and there's the rock behind Klint right at the beginning. I'm gonna try restarting my PC and getting rid of all the other background processes.

    That's right, several seconds per pixel. I checked the ddraw cfg, it's set at 30. I just changed it to 60 and went back in, it seems almost the same. Also, it doesn't seem like it's just my icon moving slowly, it's more like trying to run a modern game on a 386 Mhz computer, moving the cursor...
