Where will the next Fallout take place?

Polar bears are bigger and mean than grizzlies. But there are no polar bears anywhere near Vancouver.

Your "WTF" moments in NV playthroughs

That is indeed weird. And after the amusement wore off I'd be pissed at them for stealing my kills.

Continuing The Story: Fallout New Vegas DLC

That was my first thought too. I was briefly excited.

    Legion assassins....

The best response is to kill the swine, loot their corpses, sell their gear and get more ammo to take out more of them. But yeah, they got me at the Grub N' Gulp too. Killed the two working there so I reloaded, ran in the opposite direction and fortunately the second time I was far enough...

    DLC Play order.

You can go into Honest Hearts fairly early. It's not as challenging as the other three as far as combat.

Does Fallout: NV still freeze a lot on the PS3?

Lousy that the Ultimate Edition lags worse. There are certain areas that I almost always have issues (Gomorrah, BoS Bunker, Red Rock Canyon) but I try to do get those out of the way early, before the save file size hits 10MB and that works well for me.

    Old Word Blew

The first time I played it, it did feel rather "off" compared to the core game. Of the DLCs, for me at least, it definitely feels the least like FO but I got used to it.

Does Fallout: NV still freeze a lot on the PS3?

Thought as much. Guess Ben missed that this thread is specific to the PS3.

    Fallout New Vegas: Story inconsistency?

Inconsistency, idiocy, semantics, schemantics. Call it what you will. ;) Point is it's daft. Fantastic may be an idiot. Haggerty may not care but the NCR have been pissing around at Helios for quite sometime and it's simply silly that not one single person aside from Ignacio ever wondered...

    Fallout New Vegas: Story inconsistency?

One of my 'favourite' inconsistencies is the NCR being completely unaware of Archimedes at Helios. The information is right there on the computer in the bloody lobby. At the very least, they could have had those comps password protected and requiring a hack or had the info contained on only...

Does Fallout: NV still freeze a lot on the PS3?

How do you do that on a PS3?

Does Fallout: NV still freeze a lot on the PS3?

I've heard about the lag issues on Skyrim for PS3 users and it was apparently addressed in the 1.4 patch but I only had a couple minor slow downs when it was first released. I've had large save files with no issues at all. Luck of the draw I guess. And my guess is that the patches are...

Does Fallout: NV still freeze a lot on the PS3?

It is a shame that NV runs so poorly on the PS3. Skyrim runs perfectly fine on it and that only makes me dislike Bethesda even more because NV could run just as well if they'd wanted it to. Swines. Having never bought an Ultimate Edition before I have to ask: Is it already patched?

    Fallout New Vegas: Story inconsistency?

Sticking tightly to a storyline is always hard in a game like this. As a gamer, you want to explore, as an rpger you want to try following a narrative so you try coming up with some balance that makes sense for you. With NV I never go straight to the Strip. I head south following the...

    Borderlands 2

I was being generous but there is a basic story. As I recall, you worked for some company that abandoned you there. Then it became the shoot 'em up fest. Most games have a basic story. Whether or not it's a good one is another matter entirely. But even an good one can be ruined by boring...

    Plasma or Laser

Before OWB, my energy weapon was a fully modded laser rifle. Then it became the LAER. I didn't like using Elijah's because of how quickly it wore down. And I only used the Alien Blaster a few times, just for the sake of checking it out. Limited ammo and all that.

    Borderlands 2

I enjoyed the first one to a point. I put in quite a few hours on it at a friends (he's a gaming junkie, multiple TVs, PS3s and games for gaming days with friends) but it wasn't a game I'd have bought on my own. So a sequel doesn't excite me. Games like Borderlands and Dead Island, no matter the...

The Origins of Fallout, by Lead Designer R. Scott Campbell

Well, feel free to cite the interview I did with Damien about the end of IPLY/BIS, BG3 and FO3 getting axed, etc, if need be. A few months back I noticed someone updated the wikipedia articles for Jefferson and Van Buren and a large percentage of the citations were from that interview. Actually...

    My problem with NV

The explorer perk is one of the ones I've never taken and never saw in the point in taking either. Different styles I guess but to me the map isn't so big you need it.

    My problem with NV

Uh huh. So... just so I'm clear... your issue with the game is that you want to do everything and don't like that you can't do it all in one playthrough and... yeah.
