you can swim to rivet city without taking much damage ;-) and for the AK to really shine you need 100 repair skill and a steady stream of them to keep it at 50dmg (98% condition) small guns at 100 helps too :P but im currently on both characters maxed out at lvl 20 with action boy...

whats really cool is if you wait afew days after submitting it you start seeing random encounters with wastelanders who have the book the review of it determines the outcome of these conversations....id imagine if you have a shitty review that your gonna get some hostile reactions, heheh

too bad you cant find books in shops randomly, then you wouldnt need the extra skill points....although ive only explored about.....i wanna say 50% of the side areas there may be enough books to max out all booked skills...ive found about 40 books so far

if you have low intel you wont get certain high intel speech checks but its usually not much of a big deal....theres often a skill check for whatever you have....i actually just thought of that, is there a skill check in these instances for each encounter or just certain ones at certain times?

consider this.... plasma rifle = your primary sniper rifle chinese AK/combat shotgun = your primary weapons also...invest in repair skill to 100 ASAP....and yes, the chinese AK is the best weapon in the game (50 dmg at full repair) and no im not full of shit :P

your not actually supposed to kill the family, your supposed to talk ians way out of the place....if you kill them dont even bother going back to arefu, theyll just attack you on sight there when you arrive...

i got an 8800gt oc and i run it perfectly fine in 1440x900 in high settings with no lag at all.. common misconception with the 6-7-8 series....the first number has almost nothing to do with how its gonna perform....second number is what you want.... 6800 will probably be better than a 7200...
