Fallout 1 and 2: Has anyone here ever got crippled?

Hmm. I remember seeing you (or someone on here) say that you liked to play the games on hard mode. I read in the Fallout 1 manual that enemies make more targeted shots on hard mode. I like to play on Normal, so maybe that's the reason?

Fallout 1 and 2: Has anyone here ever got crippled?

I've noticed all four of my playthroughs of the first two Fallout games, (two for each) I've never once been crippled on any parts of my body. I know that there is a crippled limbs system in the game, but I haven't really experienced it myself. And if I did, I was probably already dead. I...

Anyone got any bleach? Or lemon juice? Salt?

As much as I love MLP: FIM, I can't help but think those ponified humans look kinda creepy. >->

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

Thanks. That makes sense, as I did have a rather high science skill on my first playthrough. I was able to get the enclave guys to help me though eventually, and I was able to beat Frank Horrigan without the turrets. T'was quite difficult however. 8/

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

I seem to be having problems with the terminals that control the turrets at the Oil Rig. I have the Presidential Key, but for some reason the option to use the key doesn't appear. So now I can't use the turrets. I also can't seem to convince the Enclave troopers before Frank Horrigan to...

Fallout 2 RP: The Presidential Key doesn't work! Help!

I'm currently playing through Fallout 2 again via the restoration patch. Before the patch I was able to use the presidential key to access the oil rig's systems and start the emergency sequence and hack the turrets. For some reason though, I'm unable to do this in the Restoration patch, even...

    Fallout and booze

*Googles Old World Gourmet* Ah, it's a perk I can only get through Dead Money. No wonder I haven't heard of it, I have yet to play Dead Money.

    Fallout and booze

On the subject of alcohol in the Fallout games, does anyone actually regularly consume it in game? In New Vegas, the only use I found for it was when Cass was my companion, as her perk made it so my DT increases through drinking whiskey. That and some of the alcoholic items give me status...

    Your favorite protaginist?

Well the Courier is definitely on the top of my list. Taking down House and the Legion, bringing the Enclave Remnants together out of retirement, having the Boomers rain hellfire from the sky on the Legion, and stealth-fully takes Vegas away from the NCR with his securitron army. It's a...

    Scariest Fallout critter

Well when I first played Fallout 3, I was just wandering around the wasteland, I've just visited a merchant and bought some stuff from him. Then I heard the battle music come on. I looked around to see what was going on, I turned around and saw this big hairy mutant bear lunge at me. I found...

    Bad things of fo1,2?

What would be the best kind of weapons against them? I had Cassidy with his power jackhammer ( I think that's what it was called) and Marcus with his chain gun, and even then it took me a while to get through the enemies. I'd imagine giving Marcus a plasma rifle would have worked a heck of a lot...

    Plasma or Laser

In my latest playthrough, I'm using energy weapons as my main form of weaponry. So far, I prefer using plasma. The damage it does compared to laser makes a huge difference in battle. Of course maybe I just haven't found the right laser weapon yet...

    Bad things of fo1,2?

While I do enjoy the original Fallout games. (Especially the second one) There are certain elements that they had that kind of annoyed me. The combat system, while fun, sometimes ends up becoming a complete cluster fuck of enemies surrounding you. A notable example being the bottom of the...

    Your Favorite Companions

Definitely Veronica. Her quirky attitude and the fact she can punch out enemies makes her a keeper. Followed by ED-D, Raul, Cass, and Rex. I haven't really used Arcade Gannon and Lily yet, and I haven't been able to complete Boone's personal quest yet, so I'm reserving judgement for him.

Which Bishop woman did the Chosen One impregnate?

I never actually knew you could impregnate anyone in Fallout 2. Heck, now that I think about it, I actually remember meeting the Bishop daughter and rejected her. At the time, I sort of had a bad feeling about her considering she was the daughter of one of the big gang leaders in New Reno. I...

    Deathclaw hunting tips

Well I have watched one video on Youtube showing a guy dropping landmines and luring deathclaws over them. This cripples their legs which pretty much takes away one of their biggest advantages over the player, their speed. Not sure how well this would work for a player with a low explosives...
