Connelrad was a great mod, another one was one that added FO1/FO2 ambient music into the wasteland, and certain locations. It added miles to the game, that wasn't six thousandth repeat of butcher pete :P

I thought it was funny, when I looked at it.....5.2 for user scores, and and 86 for "professional" scores. That's kinda ugly. If it was really just people bombing it cause NMA guys suck, the score would have picked back up. NMA is realistically a pretty small crew. Granted, I have not yet gotten...

The ease of modding makes keeping the engine a worthy cause. I just wish the games didn't rely on modding to make them enjoyable :/

My favorite moments is running around the glow, fixing the place, and basically learning about the prewar world. Such an awesome place to explore. The toxic caves storage facility wss pretty cool too. Talk about hard to get in, and relatively rewarding

You say these things, but I have a friend who drives a 1934 ford pickup.....proving that you dont HAVE to go get something new, but you do have to properly maintain it :P

Its their right to seek money, I cant fault them for it, and won't, as a matter of fact. But, fuck, give it all the flash it needs to succeed, market it for the mass market, everything they are doing, and dont fail to provide something that offers depth, and character building that matters...

I lurked for years, while sponging off of the released mods for FO2, made an account a bit before/after, something FO3 was being released, and then lurked for even longer. FO1 is probably the best cRPG I have ever played, and probably my favorite game of all time, followed by FO2, and then AVP2.

What I have done to get the most bang for my buck is look on craigslist, or local 40k shop, and buy second/third/quintilionth hand, or look at armies that are considered weak at the time you are looking, and pick those up, a lot of times, you can get AMAZING deals that way

Im just glad that its easily modible. Pretty much every game based on Bethesda's engine requires heavy modding to make it into a really fun game. Heck, Oblivion was utterly unplayable, and FO3 made my soul ache, but with mods, while it still wasnt perfect, at least it was fun. Maybe that IS what...

So, yeah, I think you guys are underestimating the score this game is gonna get. I bet it hits a 95 metacritic, hands down. I mean really, metacritic doesn't give a fuck whether the game is what it claims to be. It will be fun, in a psychopathic murder frenzy kinda way, with great(tm) moments...
