Starcraft and Warcraft and 1337-speak, oh my

Well, i don't mind at all if it is "Starcraft with updated graphics" as I loved the original, and I never really played it for competition, just for story (same with the Warcraft games), so that alone is reason enough for me to look into it. :D However, Blizzard has a tendency to keep secrets...

    Fallout 3 interview on Eurogamer

Boy isn't that the truth. I had a lot more respect for Bethesda before the Xbox came around...

    Desslock answers Fallout 3 questions

Phew, well it's nice to know that AP only counts for actions taken during a pause, and not limiting pausing itself. Although, how useful this 'perception' roll will be remains to be seen.

    Shacknews Fallout 3 Preview

I doubt the lack of a subtitle will grant that sort of openness. Still, it was a nice thought. :)

    NMA: indirect Fallout 3 Q&A

Yeah the base thing was my biggest gripe with it, but still, I think it's not a bad game overall. I know I personally have not come across another game that has gotten the X-Com feel (especially on missions) so well. And the soldiers being immortal is actually a curse, rather than a boon, as...

    Team Xbox Fallout 3 preview

Well if Oblivions inventory system is anything to go by, then that's pretty much exactly what it'll be like as it used icons exclusively to denote the item type.

    GGL previews Fallout 3

You guys know what the scariest part is? They are wide open to continue to make more sequels.....so expect a Fallout 4 and 5, and maybe even after that. Eventually, people will forget what the originals were like (as is becoming the case with Grand Theft Auto).

Starcraft and Warcraft and 1337-speak, oh my

This thread seems like it belongs in the No Zerg Allowed forums. :P But yeah, I have to say it makes it all the more disappointing to see the state of Fallout 3 after seeing what Blizzard is doing with SC2. :( I bet Blizzard would probably have made a more faithful Fallout sequel than...

    NMA: indirect Fallout 3 Q&A

If you're a big X-Com fan, check out UFO: Extraterrestrials. It's the most faithful game I've seen to the original formula, while updating the graphics and such. Slight differences, but overall, it's pretty solid. :)

How to sway video game press on Washington Post

    Won't be for much longer.

    Fallout 3 interview on Eurogamer

I don't find the "missing father" plot to be too much trouble. What would make it more interesting is when you finally do meet up with him again, if he acts differently towards you based on your actions/karma/reputation etc. Of course, something that in-depth might be asking too much. And I...

    Fallout 3 on XBox live

*sigh* Everytime someone posts a list like this, I almost get a tear in my eye.... :puppy-dog: As a relatively new Fallout fan, I held out hope that Beth might really get it right, and hoped that the majority of the Fallout fanbase was just being bitter. Well, since these previews, I can say...

    Fallout Bobble Head on eBay

Heh, US $127.50 final bid, plus the $10 S/H, so someone's spent just under $140 on a bobblehead. Way to go. Can't wait to see what prices will pop up if they do a limited run collector's edition of Fallout 3 (which will undoubtedly happen).

    Don't Buy the Hype

Great read. Lots of information there. I'd pretty much read most of this before, but it was nice to have it all summed up into one article.

    Fallout 3 on XBox live

As do we all. M$ pretty much single-handedly pioneered the whole next-gen microtransaction phenomenon with Xbox Live. Bethesda knows about this more than most, as with Morrowind, they had quite a few extras and mini-expansions that were downloadable for free, yet with Oblivion being on 360...

    Fallout 3 interview on Eurogamer

Don't worry, you're not the only one worried. I'm just hoping the melee combat isn't anything as clunky as Oblivion, and that the mysteriously ambiguous V.A.T.S. system will actually help, rather than hinder. On the bright side, the physics engine may actually create some "memorable melee...

    Fallout 3 on XBox live

Geez, you would have thought at least it would have been good looking stuff. To be honest, I find that the new Vaultboy Beth has been using looks a bit weird....is that just me? Am I seeing things? :P

    Fallout 3 interview on Eurogamer

So wait, this is about bringing back Beth's long-forgotten first person gunplay game legacy? I thought it was about Fallout? Well....seems we now know where their priorities lie.

    Fallout 3 on XBox live

Amazing isn't it? How MS can convince players to pay for wallpapers and avatars? And all the game companies just follow along and tow the line....

    Fallout 3 on XBox live

Makes me kinda think of Resident Evil...I mean, Fallout 1 and 2 had a lot of stuff to kill and a lot of dangerous individuals, but I didn't feel like I was fighting for survival every minute....especially not when I was getting a "bath" from Jenny.
