    Save Auto Assault campaign

The sad thing is, online petitions don't actually work. :( I just hope the faithful AA fans can possibly find a way to create an emulator or something so that they can at least still play the game, even if it's not hosted by NCSoft.

    Auto Assault

I never got the idea that vehicle-only MMOs ever really work. I remember EA's ship-only space MMO, Earth & Beyond fell to a similar fate. Guess players just like to create characters.

I just had some shitty news.

Hey man, I know I'm new here, but I just wanted to offer my sympathy. I hope the police situation gets sorted out with the least possible drama. All the best to you and your family. :(

    Team Xbox Fallout 3 preview

I haven't seen much detail on VATS either in all my preview reading. So my guess is, the basics that we know are all that is available to know. I just hope, as I previously stated, that what we do know isn't all of it.

    Team Xbox Fallout 3 preview

Essentially just like the one in KOTOR (but with AP and targeting). My real question is...what other actions can take place while in VATS? Can we access inventory? Use items (healing items, stat boosting drugs, etc)? Basically, I'm hoping there's still a lot to this system that we don't...

Pete Hines on Xbox live podcast

Ah, having never played BOS, I never knew that. Thanks for the info. Well I suppose it all depends on the implementation (like so many things). I was under the impression the items created would look and feel like they were roughly constructed of other items (ie the Lunchbox Bomb). This sort...

Pete Hines on Xbox live podcast

The thing is....I wouldn't mind the Fatman launcher so much if it was say, a bonus item after completing the game and you could use it just for messing around. However, to have it in during the actual course of the game...well I think most everyone here feels the same on what a bad idea that is...

    Team Xbox Fallout 3 preview

I wouldn't say it's a completely new system, as the only thing new about it is the AP restrictions and specific aiming. KOTOR I and II both used a RTwP system where you could pause, queue up moves, and unpause to watch them get played out automatically based on your skills and stats. Also, I...

    This is kinda cute...

Sounds like an awesome idea :) And it shouldn't be too difficult really. If you do it, make sure you get pics!

    NMA: indirect Fallout 3 Q&A

I'm not big on First Person views either myself....but third person/over the top views can work for me, provided the camera is well handled. From what it sounds like, it seems they've improved it vastly over the spawn of hades that was third person in Oblivion.

    This is kinda cute...

Hahaha, I almost cried laughing at this quote: :D It is a fantastically cool cake, especially since Bloody Mess is by far my fave trait.

    Music... sinatra?

Interestingly, I found this tidbit on wikipedia: Also, seems (from a preview from Next-Gen) that the teaser we saw is actually the first part of the intro movie for Fallout 3.

    GIN previews Fallout 3

I wouldn't really credit this preview much....it tells us nothing we haven't already heard, except to show that the journalist is probably using terminoloy that he's unfamiliar with.

    Gamespot's Fallout 3 Preview

I'd guess the same...with your repair skill being used in place of a repair hammer. Well, I won't mind so much provided weapons/armor cannot be destroyed and lost entirely due to lack of repair, and also if the suggested schematic and item creation (from bits and pieces of existing...

PC Gamer UK previews Fallout 3

Yeah I have to agree with lisac2k, after seeing the closeup of the armor on the cover, I'm a little more convinced of it. That's more than I can say for the super-mutant however. :P And while it's taken til now for everyone in the press to acknowledge Oblivions faults in regards to its NPCs...

    Gamespot's Fallout 3 Preview

This caught my attention: now at first I was a bit skeptical, as degrading weapons aren't very much fun, even if it's trying to be realistic...but then I saw this line: I'm quite interested in seeing how that would work....as stripping parts from different weapons to create a custom...

    Shacknews Fallout 3 Preview

*sigh* Such a shame....my first joy in Fallout was when I realized I could do targeted aiming and that the groin was a viable option....on any character. :) Oh well....I'm sure there will be mods for it, provided they allow them (which looking at their past games, they most likely will).

Shacknews interview on Fallout 3 with Pete Hines

Rest assured, that was directed solely towards those who expressed such opinions. I in no way was trying to accuse the staff or other posters of having these assumptions. So no hard feelings? :D And my apologies for being the cause of this topic getting off track.

Shacknews interview on Fallout 3 with Pete Hines

lol you guys are hilarious! I don't work for Beth, and am in no way affiliated with them. I'm just a gamer who only recently got into Fallout and it's sequel. As for the source of my image, it's from a google search for "Vault 13 door" and is some fanart I found on the net, with a bit of...

Shacknews interview on Fallout 3 with Pete Hines

Heheh...based on my own experience, I'd say it's because the new guys here (like myself) think the best of the situation before we get schooled in the history of the fallout franchise. :) A little knowledge goes a looooong way.
