    You are welcome. Glitches in Overseer's cutscene, AFIR, were there since the very beginning. May be DOS based engine running via emulator could fix that but we don't have proper binary right now. So all TeamX's patches currently are windows only.

    IMHO, autoleveling is widespread desease, serving a stub for the poor design and killing interest to any game with level-up system. It's bright side of the ol' Fallout that autoleveling is not used there. Better to leave the game unbalanced.

    If you want only the blackouts to be fixed use fo1_screen_refresh from there. Doesn't reqiure additional setup. "Run in the backround" means: after starting fo1_refresh, leave window with french writings and a lone button intact and just run Fallout; after finishing with the game and quitting...

    No, not at all. Just find readme.txt in the root folder of your installation CD and check version/date written at the beginnig of the file. If there is something different from: FALLOUT: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game Readme File - 29 September 1997 Version 1.0 then disk worth trying...

    Mode=0 in Sfall's ddraw.ini and any videomode settings in f1_res.ini do the job.

    AFAIR, in Sfall for Fallout1, windowed mode works only when Mode=5 in the ini-file. And, as it mentioned in the remarks, DX9 videomodes unpredictably garble cutscenes. What means: no in-game videos. Just try to skip to the main menu instead.

    I still need some info on the GOG release of the game. If some volunteer could parse his distribution with the validator and send me the result, work on the semi-official patch 1.2.1 could speed up. ;)

    It is not better. It's the same as Mirny aka Go2man did. The real problem is not in the stats. The problem is in the engine which just skips the last level specified for the follower. Making that level technically unreachable.

    Usually DirectX installer asks you if it's Ok to update your components. It's enough to just press Cancel. Anyway, if this option is not available, DirectX will NOT replace your current components with an outdated versions from CD. So, you can just allow the update process to run till the end...
