Wasteland designer Liz Danforth joins Wasteland 2 team

Kickstarter projects have the potential to be great. It allows developers to make the kind of games that normally wouldn't thrive in this business and it allows fans a chance to revisit really niche genres. To me this is a win-win. I don't mind giving money away for a project that I want to see.

    Mass Effect 3 discussion

The Crucible could of had more impact if it wasn't something they revealed in Mass Effect 3. They should of been working on that damn angle since the 2nd installment. Maybe even reveal it partially in the first 1. First game: Create threat, create feelings of hopelessness. Second Game...

Well, if people are wanting to do multiplayer, I wouldn't mind getting about three of you guys to do a session. It's better than dealing with the random derptards it pairs me up against.

Does Readiness effect you're war assets or something? [spoiler:903cf8bc32] I'm done with the citadel attack[/spoiler:903cf8bc32] and I already have over 3000. I've done a few multiplayer matches but I didn't think it was enough to make a difference. I just can't be near the end of the game...

Actual, turn-based strategy X-Com sequel in the works

^ If that is all they do to make the game seem mainstream, then we should should count ourselves lucky. I'm definitely looking forward to this. X-Com was was a classic.

I had the issue where my face couldn't be read and I had to remake it. Luckily, ME's character creation isn't that deep, so it was easy to replicate. I would be extremely pissed off if I where a part of the unfortunate few who had entire past choices of the game completely ignored in game.

    Doom 4 anyone?!

Poor Poor Doom. It looks like my favorite game of all time, the original mainstream giant, still can't escape the clutches of modernization. All I want is some good graphics, classic map design, the 9 classic weapons, and a horde of demons to point those guns at. That's all Doom needs. Give the...

    Mass Effect 3 discussion

Maybe I'm just buying into all the farting bass epic music and what not, but I'm finding the game to be very decent. Much better than ME2. There are a lot of flaws to the plot, and it sorta makes ME2 seem moot. Still, I do enjoy a lot of the side quest stories.

    Assassins Creed III set in...

Those clothes stand out so much, the concept images appear comically photo shopped. Still, on the bright side, the setting seems very interesting to me. I guess the colonial era is common in strategy games, but it'll be fun to watch the translation into a 3D stealth-action game.

    Is there anyone left?

What are they called? I'm quite curious about this.

    New Baldur's Gate Game

Maybe with this release, Bioware will remember just how decent they once where. Too bad I don't use smartphones or this would be a must buy for me. Would be nice to take on ol Minsc and Boo on another adventure when the goings are slow at work.

Hype in the Gaming Industry and Failed Expectations

Dragon Age: Origins Coming from Bioware, I should of known better, but I was quickly suckered into their marketing of a old school party focused RPG. Things started alright, but then it suddenly disappeared for many years to come. The only screenshots to be released where simple mockups of...

Syndicate rebooted as (surprise) an FPS

From what I've heard, the creative force behind the glory days of Starbreeze have left to make their own studio. Guess I'll be following them instead of Starbreeze. I'm really not surprised this turned out to be a heaping pile of shit.

ACTA - Sounds great ? New laws for the Internet

My only hope with all these anti-internet bills, the people can constantly protest them away, while at the same time informing the higher ups on the inner workings of the net. Maybe then, laws can be passed that are reasonable and step on as few toes as possible as well as protecting...

    Bioware Backlash

The best romance Bioware has ever done is still Baldur's Gate 2. It was subtle, and sweet. As a romance should be. You could completely mess it up without even knowing it, and it added a bit of emotional involvement with the character you where having the romance with. Heck, one of the...

    Bioware Backlash

You pretty much said it right there, "The option to play the game without resorting to violence." If you have a game where combat is 50% of the experience, then why add a "skip" button? I'm even against the idea of skipping cutscenes, unless they are implemented before the chance to save (aka...

    Tim Cain staying at Obsidian

That too. I'm still wanting some original, non fantasy, RPG from these guys. However, it would be nice to have at least one more Fallout. A send off love letter, to the old fans, who want at least some sense of closure to a beloved series that has far outreached it's original intentions.

    Bioware Backlash

The idea of a "skip combat" option is pretty absurd in my eyes. Then why make games? If she wants to write un-interactive content, then stick with books. Or movies. For complete fairness, one person can't really ruin Bioware and they've been going downhill since after Neverwinter...
