    Modding ideas/suggestions

Hehe, yeah, I only did that because the scale of Action Points spending I think might not be completely interpretable to the usual 6-8 APs. It's more of a suggestion as an alpha channel for the current system to hide behind and light up appropriately. I suggest the Tactics interface because...

    Will Fallout 3 be remembered?

To my credit, I've played a fuck-ton of Fallout 1/2/Tactics. I doubt Bethesda pays thralls of fans to post on the NMA forums. If anything they'd make a new Fallout fansite and forum. Aside from "LOLZ NMA SUKS! FO3 RAWKS!" contributors, people that post on this forum are fans of Fallout. What...

Today's graphics benchmark HATES asymmetry, and only tolerates it in texturing and special characters that are are infrequent.

    Will Fallout 3 be remembered?

The difference between the Matrix films and the Alien and JP films is that the Alien franchise purposely deviates from past incarnations for the sake of giving new directors a chance to show their vision of the Alien universe, and the JP films are pretty much about dinosaurs eating people. The...

    Will Fallout 3 be remembered?

Fallout 3 will be remembered alongside the first two Fallout games, not because of sequencial order, but mainly because FO:BOS is for all intents and purposes these days nonexsistant and inaccessable, and no one seems to like Tactics enough to recommend it as part of the Fallout experience...

The brother hood of Steel in FO3

To be honest, the Enclave have one thing going for them: Malcolm Motherfucking McDowell

    Autumn in the Memorial [SPOILERSSSSS]

Have you no class? A true back-stabbing gentleman would have opted for 3 rail spikes to the face, or a weed-whacker chest disentegration motion with a minigun. Not the Assault Rifle/Energy Weapon flavor stovepipe wearing blue collar simpletons are only capable of.

Intelligent Deconstruction Review of Fallout 3

Fair questions, I wasn't clear on those specific plot elements looking back on what I wrote. Looking at the Fallout series as an intellectual property inventory, aspects such as the Brotherhood of Steel, Super Mutants, and the Enclave are just as much a part of the Fallout series as Vaults...

How are some people maxing out ALL skills?

I think the RPG system does need tweaking. For all intents and purposes the skill check events (Lockpicking/Hacking/Traps) can completed across the board without any noticable detrement to other skills aspects of Fallout 3, where as in past Fallout titles (short of cheating) you couldn't.

    Modding ideas/suggestions

For those thinking of bringing back the original pipboy interface, I've done the thinking for you: To clarify, the Horizontal Rad Meter on the right would be color coded much like audio level bar or the terror alert chart, and light up appropriately to the density of radiation you're...

Intelligent Deconstruction Review of Fallout 3

** Forewarning - MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT ** ** Forewarning - MASSIVE WALLS OF TEXT ** I'm a fan of Fallout and I have an opinion. However, what I am going to attempt is an analysis/review of Fallout 3 without being partial to either side of the coin. I prepared myself for Fallout 3 by...

Anyone else find computer hacking depressing?

I found it to be an entertaining logic minigame. Not sure if anyone else knows about it, but if you look for symbols that are closed bracketed (specifically things like <#$%#>, (HUSTLER), and []), the either remove duds or refill your tries. The easier hacking terminals means you'll find...

    Fallout 3 Realism Overhaul

Apparently there is fire damage. Perhaps energy weapons could use the fire damage base instead of the normal leathal damage? Not sure if it would set people on fire everytime you shot someone with a plasma rifle, but it's a start.

    Impressions thread for negative impressions

Black Lagoon creature I'll agree with, but having been a resident of the DC Metro area years ago, crabs are a major part of the culture there. Personally I wanted to see a giant motherfucking blue crab with a pincer the size of a king sized bed. Seriously, they crab fish both in the bay and in...

    Fallout 1 or Fallout 2?

I recommend Fallout 1. I would also recommend Fallout: Tactics over Fallout 2.

    Fallout 3 reviews round-up #42

I'm rather glad the Codex review wasn't full of major psychotic fucking hatred. While I'm tuning out all the "SUPER RAD!" reviews, I'd just as soon tune out a "FUCK DIS SHIT!" review, because both really have an ulterior motive. I read it and pretty much agreed with all points Chefe brought...

    Impressions thread for negative impressions

Considering how many times you could have mutated in Fallout 3 (Limb regeneration, bark-skin, etc) in the short amount of time being outside the Vault, I would suspect a massive amount of surviving wastelanders would have been "purified" off the face of the Earth. The Enclave and isloated Vault...

My personal take on Fallout 3

I wouldn't say Tactics screwed up weapons, the BOS, and the Fallout setting. Yes it deviated from the frist two, but didn't recklessly abandon or bastardize it to any extent past the Airships, Deathclaws, and Vault screwups. Modern weaponry is there for the same reason the 10mm pistol is there...

    Second thoughts....

I'll echo something I said earlier in the different thread: If you can accept Fallout 3 is not a continuation of Fallout 1 and 2's storyline, enjoy the aspect of MMO/Oblivion-esque exploration, and can stomach the alteration and simplification of RPGs made with consoles in mind, then Fallout...
