    1. short answer.. in the city.txt file... long answer... extract the file from the master.dat to ..(gamedir)\data , now open it and edit it so that the entries that read "start_state=on" are changed to "start_state=off".. there you go, no more towns on the map.. some towns get put on the map...

    looks fine to me.. i do note however that 95 percent of the scripts i've looked at start the LVAR defines at (4).. maybe 0, 1, 2, and 3, are defined in the header file for use in things like dialogues???...

    you mean the outer door? you need to make a new script for it.. currently, it only works on the vault 13 map... , since it has to interact with the entry computer which uses a M_VAR.. to make it so you can "use" it like a normal door ( ie run up to it, fiddle with it, and it opens.. ) you...

    wait.. what? there is only one .gam file... vault13.gam... all the globals are listed there.. you don't make a .gam file for your own maps...... are you defining your L_VARs with a number? you can't just define a L_VAR you know.. you have to give it a number... it doesn't dynamically...

    tried the ones in the scripts directory? they should all work... :roll: but seriously.. copy / paste the .ssl and the .msg files into a "code" window ( so the formating stays the same ) and we'll probably be able to tell you where you are going wrong.. someone elses .int is no good to...

    yes it actually is in the encounter tables.. the individual script set the "teams" for the critters, then in the encounter tables it just says like... enc_30=Chance:2%,Enc:(2-3) KLA_Farmers FIGHTING (3-6) ARRO_Pig_Rats which reads as.. encounter number 30 in the table.. 2 percent chance...

    i'm no scripter, but i've tinkered with a few.. are you actually trying the scripts in the game, or the game mode in the editor? because the game mode in the editor doesn't initialise the variables properly most of the time... i read there was a file where you had to list the variables...
